As I close this chapter, I want to thank every single person who has supported The Daily Scoop — especially my regular customers who have been with me from the very beginning.
There are so many of you I came to know by name. Some of you came almost religiously, day after day. We shared wonderful conversations, so many laughs, and even a few tears along the way. You became so much more than just customers to me.
I’ve watched friends and families make memories here — playing games, taking photos, laughing together and simply enjoying time with one another. I’ve watched the tiny tots stand as tall as they possibly could on their little toes, trying to peek over the freezer to find their favorite flavor. Those are the moments I will carry with me. ❤️
I truly feel like I am losing a piece of myself by closing these doors. This decision was not made lightly. In fact, it has probably been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make.
If I could ask one thing of our community, it would be this: please support your local small businesses whenever you can. You don't have to spend a lot of money. A few dollars here and there may not seem like much, but regular support makes an enormous difference to us little guys. It is what allows small businesses to keep their doors open and continue being part of the community.
To everyone who came in these last few days just to say goodbye, thank you. It meant more to me than you probably realize. I am incredibly grateful for every one of you, and I will genuinely miss seeing your faces.
This may be goodbye to The Daily Scoop as you know it, but hopefully it isn't goodbye forever...
