🎤✨ That’s a wrap on Golden Mic! ✨🎤

What a night! What a crowd! What a beautiful reminder of what happens when people are brave enough to step up to the mic — and when a community shows up to cheer them on! We had 148 votes come through for the popular vote so I count our inaugural Golden Mic Rogers Karaoke a SUCCESS!!!

The weather kept us on our toes and I’m so appreciative of the flexibility of everyone as we made decisions to keep people & equipment safe from the rains.

Filipino American Organization of Northwest Arkansas Announces Barrio Fiesta 2026

SPRINGDALE, ARKANSAS – The Filipino American Organization of Northwest Arkansas (FAONWA) proudly invites the community to celebrate Barrio Fiesta 2026 on August 29, 2026, at the Shiloh Square Pavilion in Springdale, Arkansas.

This exciting cultural event will showcase the rich heritage, traditions, and spirit of the Filipino community through a vibrant celebration of culture, fashion, arts, music, and food. Guests can enjoy live performances, traditional and modern dances, musical entertainment, authentic Filipino cuisine, and a special National Costume Showcase highlighting the beauty and diversity of Filipino attire.

Barrio Fiesta 2026 is open to everyone and aims to promote cultural understanding, unity, and community engagement throughout Northwest Arkansas.

Organizations, businesses, and individuals are invited to participate and support this community celebration through sponsorship opportunities.

Let's talk about our Saturday Lunch test... we set a goal 6 weeks ago to see if opening for lunch on a Saturday would resonate with y'all. The results? It was hit/ miss. We did not meet our minimum target as an average. So we went back to the drawing board to talk about what could fit better for us & for you.

What does this mean?
We will be closed for lunch on Saturdays.

HOWEVER... we will test opening at 2pm for the next six weeks and see what happens. 😁

We're calling it our Hapon Session - an afternoon gathering over drinks. Think late lunch, early dinner, cocktails, beer, maybe a karaoke room before your evening plans, and for sure just a lazy Saturday hangout.

I'm excited to test this out. I love the low key moments where we get to visit with our guests and not feel rushed. Join us next Saturday starting at 2pm and help us test this new rhythm.

Thank you for celebrating our 1st birthday with us. It was awesome to see your faces and read your messages. 🎉

Bingo, karaoke, guest appreciation, prizes, whole roast pig bites, live music, and so much love. 🥰

We opened Lasang Pinoy to share Filipino food, family, music, and belonging — and last week felt like all of that in motion. 🫶

We've got lots more memories to make ahead of us and I can't wait!!
