Yesterday, due to a clog somewhere, the plumber was here, removing deck boards to check pipes, just as our dairy/produce order arrived. The one that comes through the back door and utilizes that walkway….it got extra fun when UPS also showed up.
Did I mention the store FULL of customers.
Today, we are closed, but not everyone got the memo?
Our ice cream delivery driver had to park in (what will eventually be) Haole Bowls’ parking area and bring it all around due to the number of vehicles in and out.
Then came the septic tanker, and another delivery, the lawn crew, waiting on UPS & FedEx & the return of the plumber….
I swear it NEVER slows down around here!!
It’s September first.
It’s apples and pumpkins and acorn time!!
I wanted to make the Beard take me to lunch and Gnome Goods for BWG stuff, but with everything happening we cannot leave.

Anyway, we are closed, I am making candles in the nice cool candle making room, because it is freakishly hot outside, and I HATE being sweaty!

We are nearly out pastries and milk.
The sooner you arrive, the more likely you are able to have coffee…because, as soon as we are out of milk, we will close.
I apparently didn’t order enough dairy on Friday.
Except, I did.
I was NOT expecting it to still be this busy the last weekend of August!
AND as much as I love y’all, I will NOT be going to Food Lion on a Sunday morning for milk!!!

If I spent as much time actually working as I do chasing reptiles, arachnids, insects and marine life….I would get so much done!!
This little one startled me but made me soooooo happy.

I have spent nearly 2 weeks searching for the price gun.
Two weeks worth of incoming inventory stacked up in boxes because I cannot price them.
I would have no issue putting them out on the floor without a price, and just letting people know when they ask, but it drives Saylor insane.

This morning, when I came in for coffee (around 5:30), frustrated, I gave up and ordered a new one.
About two and a half hours ago, I came into the coffee shop to label cured candles and pour new scents.
Guess what I just found hiding in the candle room under packages of tissue….?!?
Now the question is: Do I abandon candlemaking after this pour, and price everything and put them out on the floor…. Or do I continue making candles and wait until the next day off to do the other stuff?!
