To our Black Vinyl and Boneshaker friends and community…

Everyone Over the past couple months, I've posted a couple "pop-up" memory pictures on here and we've been overwhelmed by the responses. Not many days pass where we aren't reminded of our awesome customers, employees and friends that supported us through the years and helped build the Boneshaker community. While I never say never, it's not in our immediate plans to re-open Boneshaker as we've moved forward with new ventures and wanted to share that with you all.

I've recently launched my new business, Side 8 Capital (www.side8capital.com) - an alternative business lending broker, as well as real estate investment lending.

I've been asked what what made me pursue this business and there's a variety of personal and business reasons, but at the heart of it, I can blend my 20 years of small business ownership experience and 20+ years of athletic coaching background to help other small businesses reach their goals.

In my opinion, there is nothing more valuable in our society than small businesses. They foster a spirit of innovation and pave the way for individuals to pursue their dreams. They reflect the unique character and heritage of their communities and serve to both preserve and build the cultural identity of those communities. They serve as a force of economic vitality and growth, not only providing nearly 2/3 of new jobs in the US over the past 25 years, but also donate nearly 250% more than large businesses to local charities and organizations. Their revenue generation serves as a tax base for their municipality impacting vital resources like schools and public safety as well as quality of life amenities such as parks and recreational programs. Additionally, in times of political or societal unrest that often tear people apart, small businesses serve as a social and engagement connection hub where both our similarities and uniqueness can be celebrated.

I've been proud to be part of that community and continue to be moving forward, now with the goal of helping other small businesses in our communities flourish. If you or your business have needs with financing (operating capital, equipment purchasing, expansion, inventory, startup etc), feel free to reach out. I may not be able to serve you a beer or carnitas mac, but I'd love to help serve you a tool to grow your dreams! Cheers!

Sacramento Beer Week kicks off this Friday and Boneshaker Public House is rocking their 10 Big Events in 10 days. And guess what, some Black Vinyl Beers have been cellaring to be tapped on the Flashback Friday (5/3) event!!
