Primo Restaurant Celebrating our 27th season with two-time James Beard Award winning Chef Melissa Kelly
(1499)

There are many dining options at Primo, established in 2000 within an 1886 country farmhouse on a hill overlooking the Rockland harbor. Over the years, the restaurant has gone through several phases of expansion, and today offers dining on two levels, outside porch seating, a bungalow featuring an outdoor bar, and a beautiful barn that may be rented for your wedding or special event. On the first floor, two historic and intimate dining rooms provide a white tablecloth ambiance for dinner service. To your left as you enter, our Primo Room is larger, with a more modern country design, with exquisite Italian stone flooring. Up on our second floor there are two smaller dining rooms with reserved tables as well as out Counter Room and Cocktail Lounge that offer bar seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Private celebrations can be enjoyed at our Farmers Table located just off the Counter Room. Our beverage selection features Primo specialty cocktails made with farm-grown ingredients, a 400-bottle w**e list with ample by-the-glass options, and craft brews on tap and in bottle from some of the best local, regional and national producers. The Primo Farm with 4+ acres is where guests enjoy self-guided wandering along the garden paths, viewing the ducks, pigs, honey bees, and chickens, while discovering a great variety of vegetables, fruits, and other edibles we grow ourselves. The view of the sea from the farm hilltop includes the Rockland Breakwater and Lighthouse, which you can enjoy on a summer afternoon with a refreshment from 0km (zero-kay-emm). In 2023, Executive Chef Melissa Kelly is excited to celebrate her 24th season of growing and cooking for the Midcoast Maine community and beyond.

Thank you for joining us at 0km Bungalow for Oyster Sundays. This past Sunday, October 11th was the final event for the 27th season which included our fall Makers Market!

In addition to serving $2 dollar oysters on the half shell, seasonal small plates and refreshment, 0km is also home to our Oyster Sunday Live Music Series that showcased talented bands from all over the state.

It is meaningful to Chef Kelly and the crew that so many folks returned weekly. Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you next year at Oyster Sundays.

We also wanted to express our gratitude to all of the local musicians and artesian that participated in this season’s events.

0km Bungalow not only acts as a gathering place, it is a versatile event space too! The perfect setting to host everything from a multi-course private dinner party to offering a w**e tasting with appetizers.

What’s 0km mean? (pronounced zero kay-em)
Your food travels zero kilometers from farm & ocean to table, inspired by the second wave of Italy’s local food movement, which has long inspired Chef Melissa Kelly.

What’s Up, Doc? 🥕🍍

A playful twist on a seasonal cocktail. Blanco tequila, orange liqueur, spiced carrot, maple-roasted pineapple, and fresh lime, finished with a pineapple sugar and citric acid rim. Bright, refreshing, and just the right amount of spice.
