And just like that, our first season at Wingates has come to a close!

Our little gazebo is officially closed until spring, and while our fall season was a short one, I couldn't be happier with how it went!

When I decided to open this fall, I knew we weren't going to have much of a season. But that wasn't really the goal. The goal was to introduce Wingates to the community, meet some new faces, share a little of our journey, and start building something special.

And I feel really, really good about what we accomplished!

We met SO many wonderful people, had some great conversations, and learned something that has me even more excited about what's ahead: there is a HUGE need for more gluten-free and dairy-free options in our area, and people are excited to have them!

As someone who has lived gluten and dairy free for years, that means so much to me.

And can we talk about the COOKIES?! 🍪 👀

Apparently, they stole the show! Our gourmet cookies made up more than 76% of our total gazebo sales this season! I knew I loved making them, but seeing how much you all love them too has been one of the best parts of this whole experience.

The gazebo may be closed, but the cookies aren't going anywhere!

And don't forget, cookies aren't the only thing coming out of the Wingates kitchen! I'll continue baking and taking orders for other gluten-free and dairy-free goodies throughout the year, so be sure to stay tuned!

So, what's next for the gazebo?

The plan for 2027 is MORE! More days, more treats, more opportunities to stop by, and hopefully a whole lot more sunshine!

Here's what I'm tentatively planning:

🌷 Mid-May: Reopening on weekends, weather permitting!

☀️ June through September: Thursday through Sunday, with the possibility of adding more weekdays as we grow!

🕑 Hours: Likely 2–7 PM, perfect for an afternoon or after-dinner treat!

Of course, Maine weather likes to keep us guessing, and I still have some staffing and planning to figure out, so nothing is set in stone just yet.

For now, I just want to say THANK YOU. To everyone who stopped by, bought a cookie, tried something new, shared a post, told a friend, or simply cheered us on. Every little bit of support has meant more than you know.

We're just getting started, and I'm so excited to keep sharing this journey with you. There's so much more I want to create, and I can't wait to see where Wingates goes from here!

The gazebo is taking a winter break, but Wingates isn't!

I know, I know… I talk A LOT about cookies and ice cream around here! 🤣 But did you know I make more than just those sweet treats?!

I recently put together an order for pickup, and it made me realize that I don't really share all the other things I make!

I'm working on putting together a menu to share with you all, but in the meantime, I just wanted to put this out there 👇

You’ve gotta love when you create something because it sounds good… and somehow it turns out even better than you imagined. 🤤

Meet Cookies & Cream 🍪🤍

A soft vanilla cookie loaded with Oreos and stuffed with a creamy coconut crunch cup right in the center. It adds just the right amount of creamy, crunchy goodness—and trust me, the inside is where the magic happens. 👏

🔥 PRO TIP: If you can resist eating it long enough to make it home, warm it up before digging in. It unlocks a whole new level of deliciousness.
