Sweets, inc. cakes, cupcakes, cookies, etc. I really got into it as a hobby when I got married.

Having a mother who was a Home Economics major in college, I've been in the kitchen baking with her for as long as I can remember. When I contacted bakeries to get a quote for a simple, tiered wedding cake for a focal point on the dessert table I was amazed at the prices. I said, 'I can do that' and taught myself how (thanks to books by the amazing Colette Peters & the Rockford Public Library). I

generally do fondant covered cakes, but have begun venturing into decorated sugar cookies, cupcakes and candies.
