Last night, surrounded by art, music, and a room full of friends and family, we witnessed a Palace first!

During the ArtScene After Party, Derek (one half of Gilded Cages) surprised Mazey in the middle of their set with a proposal. And she said YES! 😍

To have a moment like this become part of Palace’s history was truly something special. What a beautiful ending to an incredible ArtScene weekend — and an even better beginning to a beautiful new journey!

Congratulations, Derek & Mazey! 🥂 Here’s to love, music, poetry, and many more reasons to celebrate. ❤️

Tonight, Palace becomes part gallery, part w**e bar, part late-night stage. 🖼️🍷🎤

Fall ArtScene continues downtown, and we’re celebrating with “Pairings” — an evening where art, w**e, music, and a little after-dark energy all collide.

Come see the art. Discover a delicious w**e. Stay awhile. Then at 9 PM, Gilded Cages takes over Palace for our official ArtScene After Party — bringing their hazy, vintage-soaked rock & roll to the room until 11pm (kitchen open late, too).

Featuring the work of Jenny Mathews, Drew Eurek, Carly Rose & Abigail Pixler throughout the space.

The walls are alive. The w**e is pouring. ArtScene starts tonight. ✨

For two nights, Palace becomes a meeting place for art, w**e, music, and a little after-dark magic as “Pairings” takes over the bar for Fall ArtScene.

Wander the gallery featuring work by Jenny Mathews, Drew Eurek, Carly Rose & Abigail Pixler, order a glass or two, and stick around as the evening shifts into live music.

Tonight, Naomi Patten Collective brings late-night jazz to Palace from 8:30–10:30 PM. Tomorrow, we keep it going with Gilded Cages from 9–11 PM.

Tomorrow night, the Naomi Patten Collective brings their sound to Palace as part of Fall ArtScene + Downtown After Dark.

Hear a little about the music, the inspiration behind it, and what to expect when the Collective takes the “Palace stage”, surrounded by the work of local artists for Pairings, our Fall ArtScene exhibition.

It’s one of our favorite weekends in downtown Rockford: galleries open their doors, artists fill unexpected spaces, music spills into the streets, and the whole city feels just a little more alive.

The candles were lit. The room was full. And then the words began. 🕯️📖

For one unforgettable night, Walt Whitman seemed to be among us: somewhere between the flicker of the flames, the poetry spoken aloud, the w**e being poured, and a room full of voices.

A heartfelt thank you to Elliot, Phillip, and Nick, and to everyone who stepped forward to read, share their own words, listen, and be part of the conversation.

There’s something special about hearing poetry spoken aloud in a room together. Thank you for making Palace a place where words still get to live and breathe.

Voices by the Fire returns to Palace this evening for a night of poetry, conversation, and a little w**e by candlelight.

Come listen. Come read. Bring a favorite Whitman poem, something of your own, or simply settle in with a glass and let the words do their work.

The lights are low. The w**e is poured. The music takes over. 🎹🍷

Another weekend after dark at Palace.

Friday, settle in for Scott Mertens and a late-night set of jazz from 8:30–10:30 PM.

Then Saturday, a change of plans brings a new sound to the room: Martin Bernsten joins us for Local Sounds, performing 7–9 PM.

Two nights. Two moods. One dimly lit corner of downtown.
Come find your seat, order something beautiful, and stay awhile.
