It’s going to be a beautiful weekend and to kick off Oktoberfest Rock Island how about coming to Hauberg Carriage Haus Bar and Hauberg Stables Gift Shop today from 1:00-9:00. In keeping with the German tradition today’s special drinks are Weihenstephan Fest Bier 16.9 bottles from the oldest brewery in Germany (see below) and glasses of Riesling Sweet or Dry. Tomorrow you can enjoy the 70 and sunny weather, 400 brats, pretzels, red cabbage, sauerkraut, pickles, Leberkase on a brotchen (little rolls), hot dog baskets for the kids and live music all day long. Come on out and enjoy the beautiful fall weather!

Weihenstephan Abbey (Kloster Weihenstephan) was a Benedictine monastery in Weihenstephan, now part of the district of Freising, in Bavaria, Germany. Brauerei Weihenstephan, located at the monastery site since at least 1040, is said to be the world's oldest continuously operating brewery.

Oktoberfest Rock Island is this Saturday, October 3rd from 12:00-10:00. Put your Dirndles and Lederhosen on and join us. The Guttenberg German Band starts off the festivities from 12:00-4:00 outside and in the mansion The Happy Belgians will be playing from 12:00-1:00. Jordan Danielsen will be playing outside the carriage haus from 5:00-7:00 and the Funktastic 5 will be playing from 7:00-9:30. Katy's Import Foods, Moline, IL (who we know has the best brats) along with pickles, sauerkraut, red cabbage, will be served starting at noon and continues until all 300 are gone. Something new this year is Leberkase sandwiches (it’s a bologna) put on the grill and makes a tasty little sandwich. Mamá Bosso pretzels, apple and pumpkin pie. We also have hot dog baskets for the kids. Stella Sawmill is our sponsor for the Hammerschlagen so you can take your frustration out on a stump. Bring the kids for crafts at Oktoberfest Kinderland from 12:00-3:00. And of course there is b**r, lots of b**r and German w**e from Euclid Beverage and Dimitri W**e & Spirits Inc. It’s Friday……and….its…..raining…..again. You can stay warm and dry at Hauberg Carriage Haus Bar and Hauberg Stables Gift Shop from 1:00-9:00. Today’s special drink is a Caramel Kiss Apple C***r. It’s a perfect day to take a tour and our mansion tour starts at 3:00. Adults $10.00, students are free. All Halloween is 20% off in the gift shop.

We love seeing students celebrate Homecoming and appreciate their interest in taking photos at the Hauberg Estate. Unfortunately, the Estate will be unavailable for Homecoming pictures due to a private rental on Saturday, September 26th. To respect the privacy of our guests, we kindly ask that students and families not enter the Estate or grounds during the event. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
