Sacco e Vanzetti, mai dimenticati!
โ99 years ago today, on August 23, 1927, Italian immigrants, workers, and anarchists Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti were executed by the state. Historians have widely agreed that their conviction was unfair due to anti-Italianism and anti-anarchism bias. Tried in the atmosphere of the Red Scare and the wave of anti-immigration and nativism, Sacco and Vanzetti's story remains chillingly relevant today.
Italians Against Fascism shares the history of Sacco and Vanzetti today in the hopes that it inspires others across our diaspora to join us! We organize to continue the work that began with the Italian and Italian-American radicals who came before us, and to ensure the stories of Italians like Sacco and Vanzetti are never forgotten.โ
