Ugly Duck Coffee is a pop-up espresso bar traveling around the City of Rochester, NY. We partner with local businesses and temporarily set-up within their walls, to offer patrons espresso based beverages. Each drink is crafted with the intention of highlighting the characteristics of the coffee, while maintaining the integrity of the roasters we partner with. Ugly Duck is always on the move with o

One Day in Rochester

Description
One Day in Rochester by Robert Forrest is a project that highlights the daily life of our city and 
the many perspectives that exist within it. This collaborative body of work is a testament to our
community here in Rochester. 

The inspiration for this project was from a series of photo books titled “A Day In The Life” 
by Rick Smolan and David Cohen. These books from the 80’s-00’s covered different countries 
over a period of 24 hours from the perspective of 200 world renowned photo journalists. 

Scaled down, One Day in Rochester offers moments from members of the community 
in Rochester on September 21st, 2025. In the spirit of community over competition, this was 
an open call for art, with all submissions being accepted. There was no criteria except for 
the date and location.

Shortly after opening this morning our team was informed the gates on the parking lot this morning have been locked by a regular. We’ve reached out to the property management company that we pay for our parking lot access, but haven’t received any updates since June. We don’t have the answers about why we weren’t communicated with about this, but nonetheless this is our situation.

Sorry to share this news without much more detail.

Current Metered Parking rules:
Enforced times: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Free parking: Free at all meters during evenings (6:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.), weekends, and legal holidays.
