Dino will be laid to rest with Military Honors at the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 4069 Howlett Hill Road, Syracuse, NY, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM.

A celebration of Dean’s life will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in Syracuse, NY

It's with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of our longtime friend and one of the originals, Dean "Dino" Cubic.

You can't spell Dinosaur BBQ without Dino.

One of the OG founding partners from 1984–1988, Dino was larger than life, big-hearted, and an important part of building Dinosaur Bar-B-Que into what it is today.

As Security Manager at our original Syracuse location, he was our brother, our protector, and our friend. He looked out for our staff and guests, and if you spent any time at the Syracuse Dino, you knew exactly where to find him, sitting at his corner of the bar.

Dino loved his friends, his bikes, his cars, his guns, the ladies, and meat. Most importantly, he loved Dinosaur BBQ and proudly organized yearly rides to hit every Dinosaur location in a single day.

We're asking our Dino family, the biker community, and anyone who knew him to help us celebrate him. If you worked with Dino, rode alongside him, shared a seat with him at the bar, or have a photo or story to share, please leave it in the comments or send it to us directly.

Services will be held Tuesday, August 25 at 11:00 AM at the Veterans Cemetery in Syracuse.

Thanks for the memories, Dino, and for always looking out for us.

Only blue skies and dry roads ahead. Ride on and rest easy. 🦖❤️‍🔥
