Follow up from our teaser post last year. We had planned a series of pop up dinners with our good friends at Our Paladar that would kick off on the 24th.
Out of care for our friends at Our Paladar, our collaborators, and everyone who planned to join us, we’ve made the decision to postpone our upcoming collaboration dinner.
Recent circumstances in our community have created staffing challenges that make it difficult for us to come together in the way this dinner deserves. At our core, hospitality is about people — showing up for one another, creating meaningful experiences, and doing things with intention. Right now, that means taking a step back rather than moving forward at less than our best.
We also want to acknowledge and stand in solidarity with members of our immigrant community who are experiencing uncertainty and stress during this time. Many of our colleagues, neighbors, and friends are an essential part of the fabric of hospitality and of this community as a whole, and we believe in leading with dignity, care, and respect for one another.
We’re grateful for the understanding, patience, and kindness this community continues to show. We’re already working toward a new date and look forward to gathering around the table again soon. More details to come but we are still committed to Cameo being more active in 2026 and we can't wait to see everyone!
In the meantime, we encourage everyone to take care of one another and lead with compassion.
