This lady right here is one in a million. It wouldn’t be right to let this month go by without mentioning Bri, our social media manager. She is the reason you all know ANYTHING about what’s going on with Petit Poutinerie. She has kept us on track promoting our schedule, our events, and our specials all this time. She takes incredible pictures that make our food and location absolutely shine. She’s also really fun, so professional and has all the executive functioning you could ever want in a gal. IMO she’s been the perfect person for this important job.
I mean, when it’s left up to me, you *might* just find me writing posts at 2a the night before we close for good 😁
Everyone says you shouldn’t work with friends, and usually that’s good advice. But every so often, a person like Bri comes along and the result is so legendary, it makes you happy you didn’t listen. 💗

This is Alex Ting. She's our Kitchen Manager, and has done every other job here along the way. She responded to a Craigslist ad (seriously) back in 2016 and has been with us ever since.
Part of me wants to list all the things about her that makes her so awesome. Like how she's an incredibly hard worker, or how she's a great teacher or how she's' funny and how I've never - not ONCE- had another employee or customer complain about her. But I'm not going to do all that.
What I will say is that she is the real driving force behind this operation. People talk about Liz and I as the faces of the business. If we are the faces, Alex is the backbone. She is as committed to this food and this company and our customers as Liz and I have ever been. And while people are asking Liz and I about the trucks and the company, Alex is out of sight, planning, cooking, leading and making this place exactly what it is all these years later. She has the respect of all her co-workers, just by being who she is. And I do mean all co-worker, over many years. That quality is so rare that it's not something you can fake and it's easy to spot when you come across it.
I have no doubt Liz will agree that we are both better for having Alex in our midst.
It's funny, I can always tell when Ting doesn't agree with one of my ideas, or some path I'm going down, because she has a certain expression she wears while she's listening to me go on. And when that expression pops up...I know it's time for me to listen. Because it means she sees something I don't. I trust her judgement, and I trust her to tell me what she sees.
Ting - thanks for your talent, your loyalty, your honestly and most of all, your friendship over the years. Liz and I are thankful for everything you've brought to the table and we can't wait to see what's next for you.

This is a appreciation post.
Anyone who has worked on a food truck knows - it's not an easy job. Moving a full kitchen's worth of food in and out of a truck that stalls, breaks, & does every other annoying thing that vehicles do, EVERY day? And did we mentioned it's hot?💪
But there truly is nothing like being out in your city, in all different neighborhoods. Meeting people and seeing your community in action. Finding out just how much is happening in our little corner every ordinary day.
We love you ❤️ It was truly our honor to bring our poutine out on the road to all you.
Love,
Beau & Beulah aka. The Poutine Trucks (& team)

Chicken French is hands down our most popular special. Which is why we really wanted to make sure we made it for you before we close up for good later this week. 😢
And we're sorta running out of time.
So, we decided to do something...epic.
Which is why Thursday 1/30 is hereby known as CHICKEN FRENCH DAY.
We will ONLY be serving Chicken (and Tofu) French Poutine. Dine in, or take it to go - but it's all FRENCH, all DAY baby!

In the spring of 2011, an old ’74 Chevy mail truck—painted green and out-fitted with two fryers—hit the streets of Rochester. Lizzie had been craving the traditional poutine that she grew up eating on trips to her family’s cottage in Ottawa, but it was no where to be found at home!
And thus, Le Petit Poutine was born. With a national food truck renaissance sweeping the nation, it had finally arrived in Rochester.
But Rochester wasn’t exactly ready for food trucks yet. With no street vending laws for food trucks written, Le Petit Poutine used the existing (and ill-fitting) food cart law to find locations to vend (and stay on the right side of the law). Lizzie was getting more and more requests to serve poutine all over town, and was struggling to meet the requests, and stay out of trouble with City Hall.
Enter Ronnie. BFF’s from college, Ronnie and Lizzie worked together to grow the business and grow the food truck scene in Rochester. Le Petit Poutine banded together with the other food trucks that were starting to crop up to lobby city-hall and make permanent changes.
Today Le Petit Poutine has 2 trucks that operate April - December. Rochester has permanent laws for food-truck vending and a strong food truck community with over 40 food trucks in the local area.
It is our commitment to continue to improve our product and our process, to best serve our customers. We are proud to have been voted Rochester’s Best Food Truck by City Newspaper’s voters 7 years in a row. And we are thankful to be a part of Rochester’s incredible small business community.
