We are closing the doors on Ho-Jo’s for the final time on September 30th. When we purchased this little restaurant, we didn’t know what to expect. What we didn’t realize was that running a restaurant took a lot more of our time and energy than we thought it would. Im not complaining, because it was practically a 30 year wish of mine to have a taco restaurant
and i was able to fulfill that wish. Something else that we weren’t thinking about was how close we would come to our employees. These kids in these pictures were as big a part of the restaurant as Hope and I. We couldn’t have done it without them. We learned, laughed, loved and cried together. It was challenging at times, but these kids stepped up and met the challenges headstrong and got through them. We want to thank the parents of our employees for trusting us to mentor their children. A few of our employees started as young as 14. We put them in positions that were completely out of their comfort zones, watched them overcome internal battles and mature into young adults. We could not be more proud of them.
As you know, we have kept up the catering and will continue through September with just a few dates left available for lunchtime taco bars. If you would like to book them, please message me instead of calling the restaurant.
Available dates in September:
Sept. 5th, 6th, 13th, 19th and 24th.
