💔 Tonight, The Mint Bar is hurting.
Today, we experienced a loss that has left a hole in our hearts and has shaken our entire Mint family to its core. There are some moments in life when there simply aren’t enough words. No announcement, no explanation, no carefully chosen sentence can truly capture what we are feeling right now.
We are trying to process something that none of us were prepared to face. We are trying to understand how to move forward while our hearts are still trying to catch up with what happened.
For those who know us, you know that The Mint has never just been a bar. It is a family. It is the people behind the bar, the people who walk through our doors, the friendships made over a drink, the laughter that has filled these walls, and the memories that have been made here. And when something happens to one of us, it doesn’t just affect one person — it touches all of us.
Tonight, we aren’t asking for anything except grace, patience, understanding, and space to grieve.
Please understand if we aren’t ourselves. Please understand if things feel different. Please understand if we don’t have the answers or the strength to explain everything right now.
There is a time for questions. There is a time for explanations. But right now, there is simply a time to grieve.
Please don’t speculate. Please don’t spread rumors. Please don’t make assumptions about something you don’t understand. There are real people on the other side of this who are hurting in ways that cannot be seen from the outside.
Behind the doors of The Mint are people who love deeply, people who are brokenhearted, people who are trying to hold each other together while silently falling apart themselves.
Tonight, our family needs our family.
So if you’ve ever called The Mint your home away from home, if you’ve ever laughed until your stomach hurt at one of our tables, if you’ve ever shared a hard night with us, celebrated a good one with us, or simply walked through our doors and felt like you belonged — please keep us in your thoughts tonight.
We don’t know exactly what tomorrow will look like. We don’t know when we’ll have the words. But we do know that we will lean on each other, hold each other up, and take this one day — one breath — at a time.
Some losses change you. Some losses leave a silence that words can’t fill. And today, The Mint is sitting in that silence.
Please give us time.
Please give us grace.
And please, above everything else, keep our Mint family in your hearts. ❤️🩹
We love you. We appreciate you. And when we’re ready, we’ll talk. For tonight, we grieve. 💔
