Currently we are almost finished painting the exterior, and the biggest expense we are working at now is removing and replacing the roof. We have the plans in the works for a mobile/personal commissary also.

Hello folks,

here is an update regarding my hubby💖

He is doing fine but still not 100% in the shape he was before his surgery.

If everything goes well we will be back on the road next week. But we would need help.

In January the tax on restaurant food dropped from 19 percent to 7 percent. Go look at your last bill and try to find it.

You probably can't. DEHOGA, the hotel and restaurant association, asked around 2,000 businesses what they did with the money. 73.4 percent kept their prices exactly where they were. The Federal Statistical Office says the average main course actually got more expensive at the start of the year.

But there is a second half to this that the angry version leaves out. The minimum wage jumped on the same day the tax fell, and food costs kept climbing. Two thirds of those businesses used the break to cover wages and staff instead of cutting menu prices. DEHOGA never promised cheaper dinners. It promised smaller price rises.

One owner near Hagen did the opposite. He took a euro off every main course and advertised it, and says revenue ran up to 30 percent above the year before.

One more thing worth knowing: only food went to 7 percent. Drinks are still taxed at 19.
