As we continue navigating some recent changes with our team, Bernard’s Gastropub & Eatery will be operating on a reduced schedule for the foreseeable future, opening at 5 PM for dinner service.

We know how many of you enjoy joining us for lunch and brunch, and we sincerely apologize to our daytime regulars for the inconvenience. We certainly haven’t forgotten about you, and we look forward to the day when we can welcome you back around our tables earlier in the day.

For now, this adjusted schedule allows us to continue serving our guests while giving our team the support and flexibility it needs. As we are able to expand our hours and bring lunch and brunch services back, we’ll keep everyone updated right here.

Most importantly, thank you. Your patience, kind words, reservations, visits, and continued patronage mean a great deal to our entire Bernard’s family. We are grateful to still be here serving Roanoke, and we look forward to seeing you for dinner. ❤️

After a few unexpected days away, we’re happy to share that Bernard’s Gastropub & Eatery will reopen this evening, Tuesday, September 29 at 5pm!

Thank you to everyone who reached out with kind words, well wishes, and understanding while we gave our team the time they needed. Your support has meant more to us than you know.

Now, the kitchen is getting ready, the tables will soon be set, and we’re looking forward to doing what we love most, welcoming you through our doors and serving you again.

𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲, 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗸𝗲… 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲’𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆. ❤️

We wanted to take a moment to clear up a little confusion that has made its way around social media. We’ve recently learned there is some speculation online suggesting that Bernard’s has closed its doors for good, and we want to reassure everyone that nothing could be further from the truth.

As we shared earlier this week, our temporary closure came after our sous chef experienced an unexpected medical emergency. We made the decision to remain closed for several days to give him the time he needed to recover and to make sure we could reopen with our team ready to provide the experience our guests deserve.

Over the years, we’ve learned that not every opinion or conversation about us requires a response. We’re much happier focusing our energy on our family, our team, the food we prepare, and the wonderful people who continue to walk through our doors. But when speculation could leave our guests believing Bernard’s is gone, we felt it was important to set the record straight.

Bernard’s Gastropub & Eatery will reopen Tuesday, September 29 at 5 PM. The kitchen will be cooking, the bar will be ready, and we’ll be very much here doing what we love.

Thank you to everyone who has checked on us, wished our sous chef well, and shown our small business kindness this week. We’re incredibly grateful for this community, and we’re looking forward to seeing some familiar faces, and hopefully a few new ones, on Tuesday.

We sincerely appreciate the patience, understanding, and kind words we’ve received from our community over the past few days. Our team is very much a family, and sometimes taking care of that family means giving someone the time and space they need to get back on their feet.

Unfortunately, due to the continued staffing shortage, Bernard’s Gastropub & Eatery will be closed again today, Thursday, September 24.

We know many of you were hoping to join us, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through this temporary situation. We want to make sure that when we open our doors, we’re able to provide the quality of food, service, and hospitality our guests have come to expect from Bernard’s.

We’ll continue to keep everyone updated here as we know more. Thank you for your kindness, your patience, and most of all, your continued support of our Bernard’s family. We look forward to welcoming you back as soon as possible.
