Good Morning Neighbors!

We have an exciting week ahead!

📍 Tuesday, October 20 - Catch MF BBQ at Fox 13 Studio!

📍 Friday - Open from 12 PM to 7 PM (or until sold out) as we get everything ready for Pups, Pumpkins & Ponies.

📍 Saturday - Event Day! 🎃🐾🐴🤖
The event runs from 12 PM to 4 PM at 11531 Balmriverview Road. Vendors and trunk participants are welcome to arrive as early as needed for setup. I'll be onsite starting at 9 AM.

We're proud to be partnering with Kids Community College and FlooringMaster to help make this a truly memorable day for our community. We've got pups, pumpkins, ponies, robots, trunks, vendors, treats, and plenty of family fun lined up for everyone!

📍 Sunday - We're back onsite from 12 PM to 4 PM at 11531 Balmriverview Road.

We are absolutely stoked for this weekend, and the forecast is looking beautiful! Bring the family out and enjoy a day filled with community, creativity, smiles, and memories.

Good Evening, Neighbors!

So, what do you do when life gets a little tough? You take a rescue pup for a nature walk.

This morning, I had the pleasure of spending some time with my little friend Alvin. I did have to carry him a few times, but he got the hang of walking on a leash pretty quickly. To thank me, he rewarded me with plenty of snuggles and kisses, which was exactly what I needed. It was the perfect start to my day.

There was a wonderful group of people who came out to do the same, giving these deserving pups some love, exercise, and a chance to just be dogs for a while.

A huge thank you to Howling Hounds and Kaitlyn Meck for organizing this Paws and Paths experience and for all they do for these amazing rescue dogs. Days like today are good for the pups and just as good for the humans.

Good Morning Neighbors,

After taking a day to reflect on yesterday's event, I wanted to share a little behind-the-scenes perspective from a small business owner.

The event itself was wonderful. We met great people, saw familiar faces, and enjoyed being part of the community. For that, we are grateful.

What many people don't see is everything that goes into craft BBQ before the first customer walks up. MF BBQ isn't a heat-and-serve operation. Every brisket, pork butt and rack of ribs is smoked overnight and sold fresh that day. We don't roll food over and reheat it the next day.

Before we ever opened our doors, there were countless hours of research, test cooks, recipe adjustments, and design work. The guys built Frankensmoker specifically for Texas-style BBQ. Our trailer was customized around that process. Every week we invest in quality meats, wood, seasonings, supplies, fuel, labor, and countless hours of preparation to bring our best to the community.

Because of that, participating in events is not always as simple as pulling up and serving food.

When planning for an event, we have to estimate how much food to smoke based on the information provided. Since our product requires an overnight cook, there is no last-minute adjustment once the fire is lit. If circumstances differ from what was anticipated, those projections can change significantly.

Many people wonder why some food trucks and vendors are selective about which events they attend. The reality is that travel, generator fuel, food costs, supplies, staffing, and time all have to be considered. If sales do not cover those expenses, a business operates at a loss.

This doesn't mean we won't participate in future events. We love supporting our community and appreciate every invitation we receive. It simply means we have to carefully evaluate opportunities to ensure they make sense for our business and allow us to continue serving the quality BBQ you've come to expect from us.

As always, thank you to everyone who supports MF BBQ. Your support is what keeps the fires burning and Frankensmoker smoking.

Good Rainy Saturday Morning, Neighbors!

Looks like our cold front is arriving a little earlier than anticipated. It may be a little cooler out, but our food will always be on fire... in a good way! 😆🔥

We'll be onsite today at 11531 Balm Riverview Road from 12-3 PM (although we're hoping to roll in a little early). We've got plenty of meat on tap today, including:

🥩 Extra Brisket
🐷 Extra Pulled Pork
🍖 Multiple racks of ribs, including both St. Louis and Baby Back

Afterward, we'll be packing up and heading over to Impact Taekwondo's Trunk or Treat at 11940 Boyette Road, which is open to the public and runs until 7 PM.

Our days are always better with great neighbors, so make sure you stop by and show them some love while you're out and about today.
