Like everyone else in our town, we're at a loss for words today.

This isn't something you ever expect to happen here. Rittman is a small town. We're friends, classmates, teammates, coworkers, and family. Chances are, we've all shared a meal, a conversation, or a smile with someone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.

Our hearts are with the family of the officer who gave his life protecting our community, with the injured officers, and with the families and loved ones of the other victims. There are simply no words that can ease this kind of pain.

Please continue to lift these families, our first responders, and everyone impacted by this tragedy in your thoughts and prayers. Be patient with one another. Hold your loved ones a little tighter tonight.
