Happy weekend everyone! We survived and even thrived for the first week of school! We have the farmstand being loaded up for everyone's enjoyment this weekend with:

* scones -- Strawberry with a sugar topping and Blueberry with a lemon glaze

* cinnamon rolls -- fresh from the oven and still warm! Once they cool we will put them out but until then, you can message me or knock on our side door and we can pass them off to you, warm and gooey and soft pillows of cinnamon and butter and sugar goodness with a buttercream frosting

* giant chocolate chip cookies and frosted pink sugar cookies

* plenty of freshly picked garden tomatoes and jalapenos and cucumbers and a few other veggies for your weekend meals

* flavored salts and french onion dip mix to make a tasty refreshing dip to go with those vegetables

We hope to see you this weekend. We will be open this morning around 8:30 or 9 am until sundown and again tomorrow from 8:30 til 6 pm. Veggies are available every day -- on the weekends at the stand and during the week on our front porch. We take cash, Venmo and CashApp.

It's Back to School next week! So we are switching things up a bit here at Pierced Hearts Homestead's Farm Stand and Micro-Bakery this week for the occasion. This weekend's goods at the farm stand are all about feeding the kiddos and families as we head back into the structure and busy-ness of the school year. And we have a special treat for your student's teachers on the first day! Check it all out:

• Win the teacher’s hearts through their stomachs with a delicious fresh-baked cookie! We are offering an adorable special sweet treat for your children to give to their teachers on the first day of school – it’s a jumbo 4+ ounce cookie (your choice of pink frosted sugar cookie or chocolate chip) in a sealed bag with a cute First Day of School tag and a #1 Teacher pen!
• Grab some blueberry or chocolate chip muffins for a quick breakfast during the week or to pack in the school lunch!
• Sneak some veggies into their diet through the most tasty, moist, and scrumptious chocolate chocolate-chip zucchini bread! Slip some extra fruit in through our delicious banana bread!
• Start the day off right with our granola loaded with almonds, pepitas, and dried cranberries! Goes great as a parfait with some Pierced Hearts Homestead raw milk yogurt!
• Add some veggies in the lunchbox – we have cherry tomatoes and crunchy cucumbers to pair with our French Onion dip packets! Mix the packet up with some sour cream and you have a cool and refreshing lunchtime or after school snack to munch with farm-fresh organically raised vegetables.
• Other items also available – flavored salts, a variety of vegetables right from the garden.

With the rain and wind coming this weekend, we are relocating to our deep covered front porch for all of our products. Just come on up the steps and stay dry. We will be open Saturday morning at 8:30am til sundown, and Sunday 8:30 am til 6 pm. We accept the following methods of payment: cash, Venmo and CashApp.

Feel free to PM me if you'd like us to hold one of those super cute Teacher treats for your children to give to their teachers Monday morning and we can have them ready for you in case we sell out what's on the porch.

And finally, as schedules get busier with fall sports, school activities and work duties, Pierced Hearts Homestead will hopefully be offering pre-orders for family meals! More info on this soon!

So happy to report that we finally got our "pet" milk license today! We are approved by the Indiana State Chemist's office (the official licensing agency for commercial pet feed) to sell our raw Jersey cow's milk, yogurt, and butter! We will post if/when we have any available. Soon enough, come October, we will have 3 ladies in milk and should be able to crank some out for anyone interested in drinking the good stuff. For their pets, of course. 😉

This coming Wednesday July 29, 4-7pm! Come out and enjoy the Zalewski Family Band -- the Licking River String Band - at the Dillsboro Farmers Market. My girls can play fiddle like you wouldn't believe! With my husband on guitar, they make for a very lively show. And Pierced Hearts Homestead will have a table there, selling our yummy, fresh baked goods too!

Happy Friday everyone!! Celebrate the weekend by stopping by for some treats to go with your morning coffee or to take with you on your Saturday trekking! Our farm/micro-bakery stand is getting stocked up slowly but surely for you! This weekend we have:

• 6 pack of sourdough cinnamon rolls with buttercream frosting
• banana Nutella stuffed muffins with a Nutella drizzle - 6 pack
• giant brown butter toffee chocolate chip cookies
• jumbo s'mores cookies filled with chocolate and marshmallow
• scones: lemon blueberry with a lemon glaze -or- coffee cake scones with a streusel topping and vanilla glaze

And of course we can't forget to eat some veggies! The garden is starting to pop, and we are offering all organic vegetables, mostly heirloom varieties of mixed cherry tomatoes; slicing tomatoes; cucumbers; yellow squash; zucchini; bell peppers; jalapeno peppers; and shallots!

Also, anytime you'd like to try a farm-raised and butchered whole chicken, fed premium organic, no-soy grain and moved daily across our pastures, just knock on our door and we can grab you one from the deep freeze. The flavor is outstanding and the nutritional benefits are superior!

Unfortunately, eggs are sold out this week but we have more laying hens coming on-line within the next few weeks!

We are open tonight (Friday) til sundown, Saturday 8:30 am til sundown, and Sunday 8:30 am til 6 pm. Veggies are available on other days of the week on our front porch. We take cash, Venmo and CashApp. Located at 3822 Nelson Rd, Rising Sun.

Hello everyone, now posting under our micro-bakery and farmstand name, Pierced Hearts Homestead. We offer seasonal organic vegetables from our gardens; organic, non-GMO pasture-raised eggs from chickens that eat soy-free feed; and lots of delicious treats for a relaxing weekend breakfast or a little bite of something sweet. We are putting out items as they're cooled and ready. Our chocolate chip and s'mores cookies already sold out today so we are baking some more right now! Come and pick up some from the fresh batch for a tasty evening dessert! We are open with bakery items, eggs and veggies Friday til sundown, Saturday 8:30 am til sundown, and Sunday 8:30 am til 6 pm. On Sundays, any day-old baked goods are 50% off.

This weekend we have:

*SCONES -- blueberry-lemon and orange cream
*COFFEE CAKE -- blueberry with streusel topping -- a family FAVE!
*COOKIES -- jumbo chocolate chip and jumbo s'mores and frosted sugar cookies
*CINNAMON ROLLS with buttercream frosting
*JUMBO MUFFINS - double chocolate/chocolate chip

And possibly more to come tomorrow!

We also offer a limited amount of frozen, on-farm pasture-raised and processed organic Freedom Ranger whole chickens (fed a soy-free diet and moved daily across our rolling hills). If interested, you will have to knock on our side door as we keep them in the deep freeze. Our latest batch of chickens was just butchered a few weeks ago in the fresh air and sunshine! Most of our chickens weigh in the 4 lb range and cost $7/lb.
