A big THANK YOU to Ripon College for having us at today’s Taste of Ripon!

We loved the opportunity to meet students and faculty, serve up some boneless wings with an assortment of our sauces, and show off a little taste of what Pastimes has to offer.

Of course, the wings were also a preview of what happens every Monday starting at 4PM: All-You-Can-Eat Wings! Bone-in or boneless, your choice of 20 sauces, served with fries.

We’re grateful to be part of this community and proud to welcome Ripon College students, faculty, alumni, and fans through our doors.

And when football season kicks off, remember: Pastimes is Ripon’s HQ for Ripon College Red Hawks Football!

We're making a small change in today's plans due to the weather forecast. We're going to reschedule Buck Fifty's Live Music on the Pastime's Patio, keep your eyes open here to hear when that will be.

Saturday night features starting at 4pm:
Baby Back Ribs (BBQ or Bourbon Glazed), 12oz New York Strip, Broiled Haddock, Lake Perch, and Ribeye & Shrimp.

Did you know the patio at Pastimes used to be a livery barn?

The brick building at 120 Scott Street has been working downtown Ripon for about a century. Farm implements, car parts, a liquor store, and then Pastimes. We put that story on our website, with a timeline that goes back to the 1890s and historic photos from the Ripon Historical Society.

Pat Grahn researched it for the Commonwealth Now & Then in Ripon series. You can walk through the block, the building, and how this address became a pub and grille.

Our run in the Wonderfully Wisconsin Burger Challenge is over, but we're walking away with more than we came for.

Thank you to City of Ripon and every single person who voted, shared, and rallied behind us. You turned a burger bracket into a whole-town effort, and we felt every bit of it.

Thank you to The Farmers Kitchen (I'd tag but their page disallows for tags) for a great first-round battle, and congratulations to those at Joe Rouer's, a true Wisconsin institution that earned it. Go finish what you started, Duvall.

Thank you Wonderfully Wisconsin for putting small-town burger joints like ours on the map. This was a blast.

And to the 42 of you who found us during this contest and hit follow: welcome to the family. You picked a good week to show up. Stick around, we'll show you what the fuss was about. First step: meet the Pound'r.

The bracket's done with us, but the kitchen sure isn't. Come grab a burger and watch the rest of the tournament with us.

THEY'VE GOT 15,000 FOLLOWERS. WE'VE GOT RIPON.

Pastimes Pub & Grille vs. Joe Rouer's. Round of 32 of the Wonderfully Wisconsin Burger Challenge. One day of voting, winner goes to the Sweet 16, loser goes home.

Credit where it's due: Joe Rouer's has been flipping burgers since 1952. Three generations. A following nearly five times the size of ours. That's a true Wisconsin institution, and we tip our caps.

Now let's go beat them.

Two rounds of this tournament have proven it doesn't matter how many followers a page has. It matters how many people show up. And nobody shows up like this town.

So here's the assignment, and we mean all of it:

Find the Pastimes vs. Joe Rouer's matchup post on the Wonderfully Wisconsin page and react on the Pastimes side.
