DID YOU KNOW just how much MORE 🔑 The Key Shop and More offers beyond keys and locksmith services?

Allen and his family at The Key Shop are one of those local businesses we could count on again and again.

Our big marquee sign outside the center? They made it.
Our flyers? Printed there.
Event menus? Them.
Posters and banners? Yep, them too.
Need keys copied? They’ve got you.
Need something notarized? They do that too.

And that's only part of what they offer. They also provide automotive keys & fobs, residential and commercial rekeys, property-management keys, lockout services, custom banners & stickers, FedEx drop-off & shipping, printing, faxing, postal boxes and more.

But what we appreciate most isn't something on their service list.

They show up for Rio Linda.

Businesses like The Key Shop are part of what makes our community work — local people supporting local people. So if you didn't know just how much MORE they do, now you do. ❤️🔑

Did you know Meg’s Creamery is more than ice cream? Our goodbye is coming sooner than we hoped.

Over the last week, so many of you have shown up and tried to rally around The Grotto. We have seen an uptick in sales, and we are incredibly grateful. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been enough to reach the margins we need to continue operating responsibly.

We’ve reached the point where staying open means placing more orders, taking on more debt, and risking our ability to meet our obligations to our employees. That is a line we are not willing to cross.

So, our ending needs to happen sooner than we anticipated.

Tonight will be our last Meatloaf Supper at The Grotto, available from 4PM until sold out.

Come give some hugs. Eat a great meal. Raise a glass. Make a few last memories with us—and help us sell out the food and drinks we have left.

We plan to remain open through Tuesday so we can play one last round of Team Trivia with Abby. After that, we’ll begin the work of readying this little space that has held so many meals, conversations, celebrations, friendships, and memories for whatever great adventure comes next.

This isn’t how or when we hoped to say goodbye.

But we would love to spend these last few days with the people who made The Grotto what it was.

Good food. Good people. Good vibes. Until the very end.
