❤️ OUR STORY — IT STARTED WITH THE TWO OF THEM
Long before the Little Red Door, there were Gene and Janet Maddalena — working side by side and building something together.
In 1982, Gene and Janet opened Maddalena’s Cheesecake. Gene was a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, while Janet graduated from what is now Rowan University with a degree in Art.
Together, they built a business, raised a family and made a whole lot of cheesecake along the way. ❤️
And here’s something pretty special:
🍰 The original cheesecake recipe Gene created all those years ago is still the recipe Maddalena’s uses today.
A lot has changed over 44 years, but some things simply don’t need changing.
This photo captures Gene and Janet during those years of working side by side — two people who put an incredible amount of time, hard work and heart into building the business that became Maddalena’s today.
