Well, the buzz and chatter around town is in full swing. Unfortunately it is true. We are closing down the restaurant and bar. We have been trying to find the right words to let you all know, so people could understand. But in a small town, it only takes a few people to get the gossip started. So, let us clarify some things.
Our current lease expires July 31st. Ourselves, along with the building owner have been unable to reach a mutually satisfactory agreement. This is something that happens in business everyday. There is no animosity involved. It is simply a business decision.
Our staff has been in search of new employment since we broke the news to them just last week. This is understandable. Unfortunately, we have been short-staffed at times. We do, however, plan to be fully functional until our last official day of business on Sunday June 29th.
Please know that this was not a decision made easily. We know the effect has on the community, and most importantly our employees. Sadly, it comes down to making business decisions that are good for ourselves and the our family's future.
To our wonderful customers that supported us for the last five years.....Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You have made the past five years a joy. We love you and will miss you.
To our staff that has stuck with us, we appreciate you more than you realize. The dedication, support and even returning to help us out for these last few weeks means more to us than you could imagine.
Finally, to our children, Holden and Shelby: We will now enjoy more time together as a family. The restaurant will no longer be taking time away from you. You kids always said you understood the demand that this adventure Mom and Dad took on. Now, we will have even more time to be there for you. We love you kids more than life itself.
With love and gratitude,
Bob and Stacy
