We'd like to file a formal complaint against whoever invented cooking at home.

First, you have to decide what to make. Then you have to go grocery shopping. Then you have to cook it. And THEN, as if that wasn't insulting enough, you're expected to wash the dishes?

Absolutely outrageous.
Meanwhile, there's a perfectly good restaurant in Ridgway where somebody else does all of that, brings you a drink, and doesn't judge you for ordering dessert.
We're not saying you should abandon your kitchen entirely.
We're just saying your stove has had a pretty good run.

Somewhere between Southern hospitality and questionable portion control, things got a little out of hand.
And judging by this week's specials, we're not particularly interested in correcting that.

We've got a little Western attitude, a whole lot of Southern comfort, and enough personality on this menu to keep things interesting.
The kitchen's been busy, the gravy's been flowing, and we're fairly certain nobody's leaving hungry.

October rolled in, threw snow on the peaks, dropped the temperature, and apparently expected us to act normal about it.
We did not.

So this week’s specials are leaning fully into cold-weather appetite, questionable restraint, and the kind of food that makes going back outside feel deeply unnecessary.

Some blame the catfish.
Some blame the tartar sauce.
One guy swears he saw a two-piece order change his life.
All we know is this:
By sundown, plates are empty, stories get bigger, and Friday Catfish lives to ride again.
