We are passionate about brewing high-quality beer that encourages a a spirit of thoughtful enjoyment. We serve our offerings in a comfortable taproom with an airy, rustic, colonial atmosphere true to our New England roots. Like the campfire depicted in our logo, Nod Hill Brewery is a welcoming gathering place for friends to meet, relax, and enjoy a locally brewed beer. Head brewer Kyle Acenowr's main influences are the expressive, adventurous, and pioneering brewers of America, Belgium and England. In his own words, Kyle's brewing approach attempts to "emulate the best aspects of my favorite beers, while also adding in my own variations. Through experience and shared knowledge, I use traditional and experimental techniques to brew an array of styles. I find joy in blurring the lines between styles in order to create certain flavor profiles. To do this, I focus on improving my process so that each ingredient is in the right place, with the right potency. They should be pleasant, well rounded, and shared with friends.”

The father/son team of Rob and Dave Kaye have had a vision of opening a brewery for many years, with different inspirations and experiences informing it along the way. From keeping and serving cask ale in London, to spending nights drinking monk-brewed Märzen beer in Salzburg, to batch after batch of experimental homebrews, Dave and Rob were inspired to one day create a venue that reflected their love of beer and the magical experiences they had enjoying it at special places along the way.

➡️Currywurst- Smoked bratwurst, curry ketchup, beer braised onions served on a roll

➡️Smoked Bratwurst- Plain on a roll/ Or beer mustard and sauerkraut on a roll

➡️Biergarten Egg Rolls- Filled with smoked bratwurst, sauerkraut, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese and Gruyère cheese, served with a sweet and tangy mustard sauce

➡️Brat Plate- Smoked bratwurst served with potato salad, (Rotkohlsalat) red cabbage salad, with a side of beer mustard

➡️Currywurst Frites- Belgium frites topped with sliced bratwurst simmered in curry ketchup sauce and onions

➡️Potato pancakes (Kartoffelpuffer)-served with sour cream and applesauce

This week, we packaged three hop-forward beers off the new BrauKon: Rabbit’s Foot West Coast Pale, Secret Door IPA with Mosaic and Amarillo, and Geobunny, our flagship IPA with Citra and Mosaic.

We’re about 20 batches in now, and with commissioning behind us, the production team has really been able to settle in and start refining things. We noticed some immediate improvements with the new brewhouse, but there’s also a learning curve — understanding the automation, how the system reacts, and how each of our beers respond to it.

It’s been a fun process getting everything dialed in, and we’re excited about where these beers are heading.

As we continue rebuilding inventory, there’s also some renewed lager beer on the way. A few batches are currently naturally carbonating through krausening and should be ready later this Fall.

A very exciting week ahead - Fest Season kicks off this Saturday with an afternoon performance by the Oktoberfest Band!

Tuck In at Nod Hill will be rolling out an Oktoberfest-inspired special menu this week, keep your eyes out for the menu launch. And of course, we’ll have Festbier lager pouring as well as Fritz Walrus, our Hefeweizen collab with OEC Brewing, in the Biergarten.
