Today is the start of the Labor Day weekend and the first Friday of the month and you know what that means…our already-famous Catfish FryDay at the Richmond Paddy Wagon once again!😊Every month we fry up tons of tasty catfish, with sides of crinkle-cut fries, hush puppies, and cole slaw. So come on down (we open at 11am) and join us or take some home, only $10 per order or $15 all you can eat! We forgo our normal lunch menu (will resume on Monday) but will serve only Catfish from 11am till about 7:30pm, and after a brief transition, we will have our regular menu offerings from 8pm till midnight. As you know, we do this every month and ya’ really don’t want to miss it

Welcome back EKU! Today is “Wingsday” at the Richmond Paddy Wagon with discounted (10/$8, 5/$4) regular and boneless wings all day till about 10pm!! For those of you adventurous souls, ask your bartender/server to get an order with our Ghost Pepper sauce…that will certainly fire you up!! Good morning! It is going to be a hot one and you probably need to come join us for lunch here at the Richmond Paddy Wagon! And after spending the afternoon relaxing at the Pub, how about a round of Trivia at 6:30pm hosted by Isaac P? And we have a nice selection (several flavors) of Hard Ice Vodka Freezies (adult freeze pops) infused with vodka (6.8% ABV). They come frozen in 200ml (6.7oz) individual plastic tubes, a most refreshing alternative you need to try…$4 each/3 for $10!

It is going to be a hot one today, and the rest of the week, but it is always a good time to visit the Richmond Paddy Wagon. Just a reminder that every Monday from 5pm-close is EKU NIGHT at the Pub with great food and drink specials for students/staff/faculty, including $20 seltzer buckets (5), mix or match, and $2 domestic draught with any food purchase. Many of you who come into the Paddy Wagon are curious about the large number of police, fire, corrections, and other patches I have displayed on the Pub walls. I have been collecting these for over four decades; currently, I have about 2000. Before the tragic fire (in 2006, up the street that destroyed the second Pub location), I had close to 6000. The vast majority were donated to me, I got some during my professional travels, and bought some that were rare or hard to find. I joke with many patrons that they are from the many police departments that arrested me over the years. Oh, and these sorts of displays are not normally as common in “cop bars”…it is an Irish Pub thing. Although I bet there are few (if any) Pubs anywhere that have this many displayed! Hahaha! And I am always looking for new ones. In any case, I hope you enjoy them…

Good morning, Richmond and what a beautiful day to spend at the Paddy Wagon! We open at 1pm, with Bartender Extraordinaire Haley here to serve you, and all our daily (Monday thru Saturday) specials are available every Sunday. And check out THE TAILGATER: One hamburger, one hot dog, five traditional wings or boneless, a pretzel, and an order of fries for only $15! Or share with a friend and get the double for only $25. A lot going on today…while there are no pre-season NFL games, there are several MLB and various soccer matches. And our Sunday-only pool league begins at 2pm! Come join us!

A lot going on at the Richmond Paddy Wagon and downtown Richmond this Fall, and over the next few weeks I will post some additional info about these. Today, I want to mention our tribute to the remarkable life and extraordinary career of Dolly Parton…her music, efforts to combat illiteracy, philanthropy, and regional economic development in east Tennessee. We will have a special menu consisting of some of her favorite foods, including chicken n’ dumplings, loaded baked potato, and banana pudding…all made-in house from scratch. We will also have a Dolly “look alike” contest and be sure to wear pink! Plus a lot of other activities we will put together. Ya’ don’t want to miss this!

Also on the 25th, The annual NEON Night Run/Walk (a “Paint the Town Pink” event) begins art 8pm, preceded by a kick-off celebration at 7pm, and there is a Block Party on Water Street from 6-10pm. We will also have a special cocktail available just for race participants.
