I'm sure most have you have heard by now...
Breakers South Sports Bar and Grill will be closing on Sunday Dec. 27th permanently after the early football games.
This is very sad news for many. This was a home away from home, a place to unwind, have fun and most of all gather with some of the best folks God has put on this planet. People from all walks of life, all races ,all religions ....whatever their story they would find someone at Breakers to share it with.
Tonight after 25 years of walking through the doors to do my "job" serving you folks it will be truly one of the toughest nights of my life...My last shift.
It wasn't a job..
it was hanging out with people who became my friends, my family, people who made me laugh ALOT, cry sometimes or have a brief encounter with that would be sweet or polite or just a plain nice human being who I might not ever see again. I am grateful for all of you. Any bad experiences I ever had were so far a few between...they get lost in the big beautiful picture of this quarter century I spent behind that bar!!! I will miss you all.

Robert (Bob) Knaggs of Garland, Texas, has been playing pool since 1939! He began playing with his older brother, Lionel, at the young age …
