This morning we were able to help someone experiencing homelessness get a new-to-them phone, a Samsung A53.

There was a time when having a mobile phone meant convenience. Today, not having one can mean exclusion.

Jobs. Healthcare. Benefits. Housing. Transportation. So much of everyday life now assumes you have a phone.

If you have an old phone sitting in a drawer, consider donating it to a good cause. Something that has little value to you might make a huge difference for someone else.

The picture and post below is from Women Against Abuse. Two students were catcalled right as they walked into Abi's. In an effort to provide a little karma offset, they got their drinks for free.

Cats want to clear the air on International Cat Day - catcalling is abuse, and they’re not happy that their name is attached to it!
If you witness catcalling and you want to intervene (and it’s safe to do so), you can:
➡️ Call out the catcaller. Say “Are you kidding?” or “Knock it off!”
➡️ Create a distraction. You can pretend you know the person being catcalled and start a conversation, or make a loud noise so they can get away while the catcaller is distracted.
➡️ Help the person who was targeted. Ask if they’re okay, and offer to stay with them and report the incident if that’s what they want.
Honor cats by taking a stand against catcalling!
