Can Can Brasserie

Can Can Brasserie “La vie est belle, voila le quadrille” – Life is beautiful, here comes the Cancan! www.cancanb

Can Can is a French brasserie and bakery in Cary Court Shopping Center. Situated in the eastern wing of Richmond’s oldest operating shopping center, Can Can was constructed to look and feel as if it has been lifted from the left bank of Paris (circa 1900) and dropped into the heart of Carytown. The idea for the restaurant derives from the classic notions of brasserie, which originally indicated an

establishment that served beer, but grew to reflect grand café restaurants specializing in traditionally inspired French foods that can be cooked quickly. With seating for over 140 in the main dining room, an Art Nouveau inspired private dining room that seats up to 60 guests or over 100 for cocktails, and a full-service bakery and pastry kitchen supplying all of its breads, pastries, and desserts, the restaurant’s versatility should provide the area an array of options and events. Can Can provides nonstop service morning, noon, and night and looks to give the local neighborhood, businesses, and Richmond visitors, a home away from home, an office away from the office, a place of refuge, or a stage for celebrating with friends.

Yesterday we lost a beautiful soul in Bob Talcott. He mentored countless people in wine and hospitality over the years, and was a large part of making Can Can what it is today. As painful as it is to lose such a great man, he lives on in those of us that carry on his lessons, stories, and of course his jokes. Rest in peace, dear friend.

Alright everybody! Between Omicron and the snow, it's been quite a week, but we are back open normal hours! Feel free to call us to reserve a table, but we hope to see your smiling faces soon!

I truly believe it isn’t the food, points of service, or wine list that makes a restaurant great.. it’s the people who work there. Despite having such a large staff, it’s always amazed me at how close we all are. I love each one of my cooks as if they were my own children. We’re all shocked and heartbroken to hear about the passing of one of our senior line cooks, Pablo. If you had a wonderful dinner here at any point over the last 3 years, he likely had a big part in making your night special. He was the raw bar king (once making a grand plateau in 10 minutes) and holder of the coveted golden spatula. He had an incredible drive, tireless work ethic, and undeniable talent. His potential was limitless in this industry.
.
If you find it in your heart to help his grieving family while they make arrangements, click the link below or in our bio.
Rest In Peace, doggie.

Hi, I am with Town Hall.

We are preparing a Welcome Kit for new residents that are moving into our community.

Our Welcome Kit will feature one business in each business category.

LMK if you are interested in being the exclusive business in your category for the new families that are moving in each week.

I would like to schedule a time when you are expecting me so that I may drop off a sample of our "Welcome Kit" and explain the program in greater detail.

Please message me or for immediate assistance, feel free to call or text me on my cell which is listed below.

Thanks.

It is National French Fry day! For all the fancy food I love, a perfectly cooked, crunchy potato is at the top of my list. Serve it with Kraft Heinz US Foodservice ketchup—keep your Hunt’s and your homemade attempts to yourself. Here are some of my favorite fries in . What am I forgetting?
1. Greek fries from Stellas Grocery topped with feta, sea salt and oregano
2. Big bowl of fries with all sorts of dipping sauces from Burger Bach
3. Grisette frites with a special lobster roll, a side of steak, or a foie gras terrine
4. Disco fries at Laura Lee's. I hope brunch and these come back!
5. Brenner Pass with the fondue burger
6. East Coast Provisions solo with a glass of bubbly, alongside raw oysters or one of the few always-on-the-menu lobster rolls in
7. Pimento cheese fries at Secret Sandwich Society
8. Duck fat fries at Beauvine Burger Concept … it’s been too long since I’ve had these 🤗
9. Fry basket at Amuse Restaurant @ VMFA
10. Somehow I don’t have a picture of the classic cone of fries at Can Can Brasserie …who wants to go soon?

We’ve updated our dessert menu a bit over here to highlight the best of summer fruit season!

Black Forest Cake with Glacé Cherries, Whipped Cream, Cocoa Nib Shortbread Crumble, & Sour Cherry Sorbet 🍒🤤
The city of Richmond is not ready for how delicious this tart is!! is continually wowing us with his creations but this one is something special;

Blueberry and Frangipane Tart, with Meyer Lemon Curd, Brown Butter Almond Streusel, Blueberry Coulis, & Cream Cheese Ice Cream 🫐

Reservations are encouraged as we are still limited in seating (you can also get this dish togo!), and masks are still required! Call for availability!
