Galaxy Diner was made aware of an interaction between a customer and employee that occurred several months ago and recently went viral. As soon as we witnessed the video we terminated the employee in question. My wife, Rebecca, and I purchased Galaxy Diner in June of this year because we believe in being a core part of our community and we have a zero tolerance policy for behavior that targets any race, religion, sexual orientation or ability. We are committed to being a safe and inclusive space for all of RVA and offer our heartfelt apologies to the customer in this interaction and to our community.

ANNOUNCEMENT…
As of today Galaxy Diner is under new ownership. I have enjoyed all these years meeting and serving the Richmond community, and all the visitors to our beautiful city. I have decided it’s time for me to retire after 28 years as a Restaurant owner and 35 years in the industry.
It has always been my dream to leave my restaurant to members of my staff, and that dream has come true ! You will definitely recognize them as they have played a very important part in making Galaxy Diner successful for many many years. I couldn’t be happier and feel sure they will continue the 22 years of serving our community to the best of their ability.
I’m stepping aside but not away. You will see me as a customer paying full price from here on out.
