These two Mutts are looking for girls they can call their very own.

Mr. Red has proven to be an excellent protector and leader of the bachelor pad. He doesn’t let the boys squabble and will intervene as appropriate. Honestly- his daddy is the same way, and I love seeing that personality passed along. His Daddy, Pi, protects me from broody hens frequently. 😝

Mr. Green is just stunning. His almost iridescent feathers just get better every day. He’s a more reserved guy but is doing well in the bachelor pad and free ranging. He’s going to be an excellent flock protector if he’s anything like his parent stock.

These boys are free (by donation). I just want to see them land softly into a coop to call their very own.

FIVE mixed breed ducklings and Three Mixed breed chicks looking to fly the brooder (and yes my brooder needs cleaned because ducklings like to play in the water dish 😝).

Mama hens have blessed me with more ducklings and chicks and these need to move out.

Ducklings are $30 for all five or
3 for $20 and 2 for $15

Chicks are $15 for the three

All unsexed.
Technically still on heat but it’s hot as hades out so use your discretion if you have them outside to brood if they need heat or not.

It’s a little bit of a sad day here…

Fox ran through yesterday and grabbed a Neiderheiner hen- so everyone is locked up for safety.

Today, 80% of my ducks flock leaves. Very bitter sweet and I’m grateful for farm friends where I’m sure they will have a soft landing and better life. 🩷 I will no longer be breeding Buff Ducks and will only be keeping a small flock of very old ducks (our original flock that are 7+ years old) and a few younger ones to keep the male/female ratio in check. It makes me sad but the ducks are hard, and add an element to the farm that I simply need to simplify. Keeping two duck coops in the frozen tundra of Maine is rough- plus all the chickens. Shrinking the flock and having one coop will make my life a lot easier. Hopefully this will allow me more time for other things too. 😉

Not to worry- I have more ducklings still hatching and four ducklings available now. Once these babies are sold- that will be all for a bit and these will be the last ducklings for this year.

I Am getting away from the lionhead breed (the hair is work- so there is your warning lol).

Indie needs a loving pet home. 🥰

Indie is 7ish months old. Raised by my younger kiddo for the most part (so used to a bit of manhandling lol). She’s lived in a hutch with a run in our barn since we got her, so she’s used to having some space but has been fine when I have to lock her up in the hutch as needed. She isn’t mean with other rabbits, she cohabitates with our another female just fine. Indie can be hard to catch but content to be held once she’s realized she will lose the chase. 😉 With more handling I think she will be just fine with less chase too. She just got a haircut today because she couldn’t see 😂 so excuse her lack of hair- she’s normally fuzzier.

We do not want her to end up as food so I may be picky, she is sweet and would enjoy a home that would give her attention but she’s also cool if you give her a few days to do her own thing. 😝

There is a very reasonable rehoming fee.
