Oh chef, my chef. He maketh me to lie down in greasy pastures: he leadeth me beside the tall burgies. A truly humble human with a big heart who knows no strangers.

If you’ve ever been to Cobra, whether it was a pop-up THE VEIL BREWING CO., Hatch Cafe, or right here on N 27th, you’ve seen this man hastily hopping between the kitchen and the dining room. You’ve probably had a chance to sit shoulder to shoulder and share a b**r and probably too many shots of Fernet-Branca US and admire his ADHD switch from topic to topic.

Delightful.

Truly, though, this space wouldn’t be what it is without him. This man loves what he does, and I think it’s very evident in the food he gets to share with all of us and the efforts he makes to uplift the communities around us.

I’m not going to sugar coat it y’all. It’s been real fu**in rough lately. Bills are high, costs of goods are high and full disclosure we’ve got gnarly debt staring us down. At this rate I don’t know how much longer we can keep the burgs walking out the door. We are going to keep pushing and try to figure out the next move but for now we really need the support of our community.
Come out. If you’ve been meaning to come in and haven’t, get in here. Order take out. Sit at the bar and have a b**r. S**t even sharing this post will help. Whatever you can do, it all helps.

Of the MSG variety. It’s v taste. Go forth and eat it. Also DAMN y’all we ruffled some feathers over the last week didn’t we? I guess “genocide bad” is a hot take… anywho look at that second slide. I planted bronze fennel last year and it did the thing and attracted black swallowtail flutterbyes and I got caterpillars! This dude just molted and is eating the molt. Cool.
Also you can’t tell me a ford ranger painted like a copperhead in the chicken fiesta parking lot isn’t hard as f**k.
Also also if you’ve read this far down and you are the first to correctly identify the plant in the last slide your burger is on me tonight. Go plant some s**t and grow some s**t and encourage some native s**t and then come burger. K. Luff u. Byeeeeeee.
