Jazzbo (Jamie Dickerson has made his final touchdown in life's game with the grace and dignity that only he could do. He felt profoundly lucky that he was able to perform, for much too short of a while, his life's dream...making people happy by enjoying what he loved to do the most. Cooking Cajun. And people gave him money to do it!! How lucky was he?!?
When Jamie first became ill his primary focus was to get better so he could "get back to work". He cared for every one of you...young and old. It just made him happy. Please continue to keep him in your hearts. He was such a good man. And thanks to everyone for making him so happy.

With a heavy heart we must let you know that we have to close Jazzbo's Rollin' Gumbo. This January 1st would have marked our fourth year in business serving the wonderful people in our Bellevue neighborhood and beyond. Jamie's passion, Cajun food, made him so happy and proud to share with all of the people who have come to mean so much to both of us. Nothing tickled him more than sharing tastes of his 'made with love' Gumbo and Jambalaya with people who were from New Orleans or complete novices. More so than not, their eyes would roll back in their heads in complete delight. Oh how happy that made him.
And the the dogs. He would stop everything he was doing and get out of the wagon, get down on his knees and love the dogs...with a treat. And oh how they love him. Jamie would remember their names before he would remember the owners names.
And sports. Jamie can talk sports! Any sports with all who would be interested. And there are a lot of you! Naturally The New Orleans Saints! WHO DAT?!?!
We cannot thank you all enough for supporting us for the last almost 4 years with your patronage, great stories, new babies, new neighbors, an occasional libation, laughter and love.
Please keep Jamie in your prayers for the dreadful disease.
