🔶Cafe will be closed July 4th🔶
This is the first summer since opening the cafe, we will not be closing for a week.
Like all of our decisions, this was decided after much discussion and insight from all members.
The truth is, this winter was hard. Too hard. The ice storm happened a few weeks after we came back from break and the city shut down for over a week, making it extremely difficult for us to recover financially.
We do not foresee another winter where we can close for a week. Whether it’s ice storms or water crisis, year on year- January and February are too hard for small businesses, margins are too tight and a hard first quarter has a ripple effect for the following months.
However, we are hopeful that next summer will be better and we can go back to our usual week of summer vacation for the whole staff.
So come see us this week to stock
up on all your coffee and wine needs to “celebrate” 250 years of hot dogs and nothing else. 🍷 🌭 🍷
