Durante el mes de junio, hace diez años El Tacorriendo comenzo su viaje en este emprendimiento,el primer año trabajamos un mes y medio porque no teníamos un lugar fijo en ese entonces,el segundo año trabajamos nuestro camión durante 3 meses, y el tercer año 7 meses. Gracias al apoyo de Haiden Farms y la colaboración de Sageland Farms pudimos obtener el permiso de estaciónanos en Mathews Córner en West Pasco antes de que nuestro tercer año concluyera.
Gracias al apoyo de la comunidad que trabaja en el campo al rededor y a los granjeros locales tuvimos una temporada exitosa. Pero la necesidad de trabajar más meses nos llevó a buscar un lugar donde pudiéramos trabajar el año redondo, fue entonces que encontramos la oportunidad de acomodar nuestro camión de comida en el Van Giesen Car Wash en la ciudad de Richland, y es ahí donde de hemos estado desde el 2020.
El camino no ha sido nada fácil, el principio de la pandemia y una crisis económica en picada han sido cosas que hemos tenido que afrontar.
Un así nos hemos mantenido en esta lucha día con día sin pensar un solo segundo en rendirnos.
Pero hoy nuestro camión ha sufrido graves daños y las probabilidades de que tengan solución son demasiado inciertas.
Aún así esto tomaría algo de tiempo y gastos, motivo por el cual en los próximos días no estaremos en nuestro parqueadero habitual.
Aún es muy temprano para decir una fecha de cuando estaremos de regreso en el negocio, estamos agotando todas las posibilidades para estar de regreso lo más pronto posible.

Ten years ago this June, El Tacorriendo began its journey in this venture. In our first year, we only worked a month and a half because we didn’t have a permanent location at the time. In the second year, we operated our truck for three months, and by the third year, we worked seven months. Thanks to the support from Haiden Farms and the collaboration of Sageland Farms, we were able to get permission to station ourselves at Mathews Corner in West Pasco before our third year ended.
Thanks to the support of the farmworker community around us and the local farmers, we had a successful season. But the need to work more months led us to look for a place where we could operate year-round. That’s when we found the opportunity to set up our food truck at Van Giesen Car Wash in the city of Richland, and that’s where we’ve been since 2020.
The road has not been easy—starting out during the pandemic and facing a deep economic crisis have been challenges we’ve had to endure.
Even so, we have kept up the fight every single day without thinking for a second about giving up.
But today, our truck has suffered serious damage, and the chances of it being repaired are still very uncertain. Even if repairs are possible, it will take time and money. For this reason, we will not be in our usual parking spot over the next few days.
It is still too early to say when we will be back in business. We are exploring every possible option to return as soon as we can.
