Stopped by Java Jones Roasters yesterday to get a wonderful cup of brewed coffee. Mark Jones is a wonderful human who roasts amazing coffee with incredible back stories of the origin and farmers. He is closed today, but will reopen on Friday. If you are a coffee enthusiast who wants to support a locally owned and operated business, stop in and see our friend.

When we made the hard decision to close Great Grounds I wasn't sure how I was going to continue my passion for community service and bringing joy to those around me but God had already figured that out, I just had to trust and I did! Fast forward... I am in a job that brings me pure joy and excitement each day!
We have created the Sunshine Club. Thank you Ashly Hansen for all the hard work, love, support and joy you have brought to GL! This group wouldn't be even remotely possible without you) At the High School that focuses on bringing joy, smiles, celebrating and uplifting the employees of the HS. In other buildings PTO's take on a lot of this but the HS does not have one.
So, why did I make you read all this.... we need help with funding. Up to now, it has been all out of our personal pocket with a few donors along the way.
We are coming up on Teacher Appreciation Week and we would love to show our Teachers some overdue Love and Support!
If you are willing and able to donate a little we would greatly appreciate it. I have attached my venmo and please know that all donations will go directly toward this cause!

Featured today at Chicken House… “Tribute Tacos”…Chicken is paying tribute to Jackie Garrison’s first menu hit at Great Grounds. These tacos are for the guests who miss them and continue to support her career and local businesses like Chicken House. Crispy Chicken Thigh, Provolone Cheese, Chopped Spinach, Tomatoes, Bacon, Avocados, and Red Onion with a little “Tribute Sauce”.

The future of Gull Lake Community Schools is important to our family. Kim is a GL Alumni, Floy has worked for the district for 29 years and our kids attend GLCS.
