Happy Monday y’all. We want to start by wishing all of you an amazing year. A year full of peace, Love and Hope. Let’s all be great full for the little things. May 2023. Be a year where we all find joy and Happiness even when things are not turning out as we wanted.
As some of you know. 2 Abuelos started as a dream from the deepest passion for food. Carlos (previous owner), has been an amazing Chef who loves food and the art of cooking and making people feel loved. Carlos wanted to give people the opportunity to taste his grandfather’s recipes throughout the Argentinian food culture. Carlos is a grandfather and along with his grandkids grandpa, from the other side of the family. A Cuban culture. 2 abuelos was born in February of 2021.
On the other hand. Myself have started a business in March of 2019. Losdos Hermanos Cocina Latina. With the help of my brother Frank One of my biggest cheerleaders. I started doing local Farmers markets around DFW. I have been bless to meet some amazing people. And Carlos has been one of those people. Carlos, was struggling with keeping 2 Abuelos open. He presented the opportunity to me. I saw this as a great opportunity for Losdos Hermanos Cocina Latina to take the next step.
Along with my Partner Justin and the support from my brother Frank. 2 Abuelos was purchased by Losdos Hermanos. We brought in our concept and merged with 2 Abuelos. The dream of having a physical location where some of our most loyal customers can obtain their delicious food and have the opportunity to try different other recipes came to reality.
The struggle has been real. We have committed and dedicated our time and resources to push forward. We knew it wasn’t going to be easy but we launched a go found me and we got the support of so many of you. Listen I/we are, for ever great full for your support. To the ones that donated to us from the bottom of our hearts thank you so much. Today we are somewhat saddened to close this chapter. We are also somewhat relieved. It’s a mix of emotions. I would lie to you if I said otherwise. It’s been very challenging, but we have connected with so many of you. we have made friends, we have felt the love. And I know some of you will be devastated.
This is not the end. In fact this is the beginning to something much greater. Our food trailer will continue to operate. Losdos Hermanos Cocina Latina will continue to move forward. We are looking forward seeing all of you soon. please fallow us and come see us whenever you are around. As today Jan. 2nd. 2 Abuelos. Has been closed.
