A note from Ron at "STRIFF'S 232 CORNER CAFE in Richboro.
To All Our Guests -
For the past eight (8) years I have been saying....
"The best thing about this place are the people who walk through the door. "
Well....it's now time to say "good-bye" to all of you.
I have enjoyed-
EACH DAY .....EACH LAUGH.....EACH JOKE....EACH FRIENDSHIP.
The good times we have shared over the years, and the relationships that we have gained over the years were all due to your loyalty. I Thank You for that!
So many times as one guest walked through the door for a "to go" cup of coffee and said "Hello" to Another guest in the store....That guest then returned to dine in and met ANOTHER guest...Then THOSE GUESTS became acquaintances. ..Before long, they all became "OUR REGULARS" and in a short time..."Our Regulars all became Friends!!!!!!
I will miss all of you.
Starting this venture eight years ago came with many "behind the scenes " suggestions. My wife Lyn suggested many great ideas for me to do. But, my suggestion to her was the best. "You have to make your delicious Cheesecakes." So she baked a dozen varieties and I sampled them all! In the end, we have been enjoying "CHEESECAKESBYLYN" (Instagram or Facebook) for eight years. I thank her for all of the paperwork, computer skills, and for simply keeping the cafe open.
When I first opened, I loved the idea of working with my daughter Lisa, who at the time was 14 years old. It was a blessing for me to have the opportunity to have her there. With the blink of an eye she is now a College Graduate.
I loved that you son Matt would fill the cafe with his Middle School Friends, High School Friends, and when they were home from College for Thanksgiving break, we would close down for them to have a FRIENDSGIVING Buffet! So many great memories to list!!
I could not say "Thank You" enough to Janice for all of her help and support. She started as a part time employee but ended up being "the face of the cafe." Janice ran the cafe by showing up 7 days a week. She is a true friend to all of us and she is the reason for the friendships and laughter at the cafe.
To sum it up...
There are so many memories, to many to mention.
I want to Thank You All for your loyalty. Because of you, we made it through hard times such as Covid 19. But, in the end, we had to Crack too many eggs to cover the high increase in rent. I simply did not want to pass that cost along to my loyal guests.
So...please stay in touch by emailing [email protected] and let's keep searching for those small, old school, neighborhood corner coffee shops.
I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have.
Ron
