Fly high, sweet boy🩵
Every loss is hard, but some losses hurt a little more than others.
Today, my sweet boy Timmy passed on to the other side.
This sweet, but feisty boy brought so many smiles to so many faces over the last year and a half. I swear, he was one of the most famous Silkies to ever do it.
A few months ago, Timmy lost his mobility. But he was still a happy boy. I was fortunate enough to find him an amazing home with my friend Amber right here in Wisconsin.
I didn’t post much about it because, unfortunately, people can be extremely judgmental. But I knew Timmy was in the best hands possible.
Amber spoiled that boy rotten. He got treats every day, spent his days out in the grass with the babies, and absolutely loved when those little babies would crawl all over him. You could tell he was still as happy as ever.
This past Tuesday, I met up with Amber to give her some chicks. She surprised me by bringing Timmy along in the backseat.
I was SO shocked. 🥹 He looked so handsome with his fresh bath and his crazy wild little crest feathers.
He did his little chatters, and he was so happy to see me. I got to see my boy one more time without ever knowing it would be the last.
Three days later, he passed. No warning. No signs. Just gone.
Today, I’m sad. Amber is sad. And my heart hurts knowing Timmy is no longer here.
But I’m also incredibly grateful.
Grateful to Amber for loving him, spoiling him, and giving him the best life possible after he left SilkiesPlus. I couldn’t have asked for a better home or a better person to care for my boy.
Timmy may be gone, but he certainly won’t be forgotten. I currently have his grand babies growing under Timmy’s daughter, Muffin and now I’m praying for the most successful hatch.
Thank you, Timmy, for all the smiles. ♥️
Fly high, sweet boy. You were one special little Silkie.
