Not a goodbye, just a see you later — this weekend marks the final few days of the 2026 Pizza Stand Season. ⁠

We want to thank you for such a full summer! This year brought us closer than ever to our community through successful events, collaborations with our favorite local businesses, products from farmers and producers we admire, and an incredible team who baked every one of your pies with love.⁠
⁠
The good news? Since it’s a holiday weekend, the Pizza Stand will be open Friday through MONDAY (October 9-12), so you have an extra day to get your pizza fix. ⁠
⁠
This weekend’s special pie is appropriately named the Harvest Moon (slide 3), with mozzarella, sweet potato, pastrami, honey mustard and chives. This pie and the rest of our classic menu will be available all weekend long.⁠
⁠
So, if you’ve been meaning to snag one last pie before the season’s up, now’s your chance. We’ll see you next year! 🫶🏼

To be a village, you have to be a villager.⁠

Now in its third year, this partnership is one of the ways we try to live that out. As a Hudson Valley business with over 40 years in the community, contributing to the health of our neighbors matters to us. One of the most direct ways we can do this is by providing local students with fresh, nutritious lunch items, beginning with the bread!⁠

Working alongside , we bake whole grain loaves that start as wheat grown on local farms. Our bakery team turns that wheat into the kind of bread kids actually want to eat.⁠
⁠
We believe kids should understand where their food comes from; it builds a lasting appreciation for local food systems and the role nutrition plays in their lives, lessons that stick well past the lunch line.⁠
⁠
Students can find this bread in school cafeterias across Ulster, Dutchess, Orange, Albany and Columbia counties. We can’t wait to bake it for them this school year!

Hudson Valley fruit is bountiful, and we do all that we can to buy local during the growing season. There is one local orchard that grows much of the fruit you taste in Bread Alone pastries.

For the past decade, we’ve sourced from Liberty Orchards in Highland, New York, about a 50 minute drive away from our carbon-neutral production bakery in Boiceville.

As a local business ourselves, we strive to support others in the same boat. When you support Bread Alone, you support Mark, his wife Karen, and the rest of their family. Support local, support small 💛
