On SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12th, 2026, 65 PLUS Bakeries/Bakers in Southeast Idaho will be hosting a Bake Sale in front of the Rexburg Cal Ranch store located at 530 North 2nd East from 8 am until 2 pm. We are anticipating over 4,000 plus donated baked items for sale at the event ….with 100% of the proceeds going to provide Feminine Hygiene Kits for young women in Africa, empowering & enabling these young women to STAY IN SCHOOL and to get an education that can change their lives!!!

For the next 14 Days I will not be posting any Cake Pictures. I am going to be posting about something MORE Important to me. Helping those in NEED!!! Have you ever wanted to help make a true difference in someone’s life …not giving a handout, but rather a hand up? Giving them a chance to make their dreams become a reality and to change their future. That is exactly what happens when a school age girl in Africa receives one of the Feminine Hygiene Kits from Village Threads or Life Together Alliance. It empowers & enables these young women to STAY IN SCHOOL and to get an education that can influence the direction of the rest of their lives!!! It changes generations …it has the power to change Africa itself.

Tons of CUTE Cakes that have gone out recently... Here is one of my Favorites for an ADORABLE little girl turning 7 who LOVES Horses & Purple. This was made in a Rainbow Chip Cake with a Frosted Animal Cookie Cream Cheese Frosting filling ...all decorated in our Signature Vanilla Buttercream and a little Homemade Marshmallow Fondant. Happy Birthday Sweet Caroline!!! I hope you enjoyed your cake.

CALL TO ACTION!!!! (I know this is long …I am sorry, but PLEASE READ!!!!!)

On Saturday, September 12th, 2026, Rexburg Cakes along with 65 plus other Bakeries/Bakers in Southeast Idaho will be hosting a Bake Sale in front of the Rexburg Cal Ranch store located at 530 North 2nd East from 8 am until 2 pm. We are anticipating over 4,000 plus donated baked items for sale at the event; with 100% of the proceeds going directly to purchase fabric, sewing machines and needed supplies for Feminine Hygiene Kits for school-aged girls in Africa. The materials for the kits will be purchased and given to Life Together Alliance & Village Threads for distribution; these organizations are located right here in our area. Life Together Alliance, in Idaho Falls, is a 501(c)3 organization that empowers girls and helps children and communities through sustainable food programs and reusable feminine hygiene kits. Village Threads, located in Ucon, is a grassroots volunteer initiative dedicated to helping girls remain in school by providing reusable menstrual hygiene kits and education to underserved communities in Africa.

Our goal is to raise $65,000 from this event that will purchase supplies to create over 4,000 plus Feminine Hygiene Kits and change 4,000 plus LIVES! A single kit allows a girl to stay in school instead of picking tea leaves in a field for $1.55 a day …or worse. Young girls, who drop out of school in Africa, frequently face restricted life opportunities, severely limiting their earning potential and trapping them in cycles of poverty. Without an education, they are highly vulnerable to early marriage, adolescent pregnancy, and various forms of exploitation. These hygiene kits are washable and re-usable and will last a young woman 3-5 years allowing her to further her educational & life goals (see pictures of kit in comments below).
