Wedding cake for Paul and Sheena 🌹🫐
Red velvet cake (colored with beets) with cream cheese buttercream.
Drove from Idaho to North Carolina to spend the weekend baking and making frosting then putting it all together for my brother-in-law and his bride at their wedding reception. After not putting enough cocoa in one batch, and completely forgetting the sugar in another, I eventually got it right and assembled and decorated the two tier cake at the venue, before putting together and frosting a full sheet cake (there was supposed to be two, but I didn’t realize just how big a full layered sheet cake is and ran out of ingredients, this bad boy took 4 batches of batter!)
While I’m so happy I could do this for these two love birds, i definitely do not have plans to make another wedding cake for a good, long while 😅
