We’re back for another week of soup season, and we have a really good lineup planned. We’ll have some longtime favorites, including Loaded Baked Potato, Broccoli Cheddar, Chicken & Wild Rice, Chicken Gnocchi, and New England Clam Chowder.

TUESDAY
Loaded Baked Potato
Creamy Tomato Basil
Classic Vegetable Minestrone

WEDNESDAY
Broccoli Cheddar
Chicken & Wild Rice

THURSDAY

SATURDAY
We’ll start the morning with our scratch-made Sourdough Buttermilk Biscuits & Homemade Sausage Gravy from 9 AM–1 PM, or until sold out.

We’ll also have Creamy Tomato Basil along with another soup selection from the week, while supplies last.

We’re open Tuesday–Friday, 11 AM–6 PM, and Saturday, 9 AM–6 PM.

As always, our menu may shift a little depending on availability and how quickly you all eat us out of something. ❤️

This morning got a bit crazy and our soup menu for this week failed to get posted. 😅 Many of our customers’ favorites are being offered this week, and of course, Greg had to put his award-winning chili on the menu. It’s one of my favorites too! 😊

We are just about finished with our first full day back, and it feels really good to say that, especially considering the state of our dining room and kitchen less than 48 hours ago.

It’s kind of crazy to think that the pictures we shared yesterday were taken Monday afternoon. In less than 36 hours, our kitchen was cleaned from top to bottom, the dining room was put back together, and somewhere in there, sourdough bread and cookie dough were prepped… and miraculously, we opened our doors this morning. 😅

And when I say we, I really mean we. We are training an almost completely new kitchen staff, and our new little soup family jumped right in and worked so hard alongside us. Greg and I are so grateful for them, and for our returning employees who picked things up when I ran out of steam. We are so excited for you to get to know our new soup makers and bread bakers. They are amazing!!!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome back today. ❤️ It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces. We appreciate your patience while our new crew gets some training days under their belts and we all settle into our rhythm.

One quick housekeeping thing: our phone system is still telling people we’re closed. We are definitely open! 😂 We’re working on getting that fixed, and we’re sorry if you’ve tried to call and gotten the wrong message.

This week we’re open Wednesday through Saturday. Next week we’ll be back to our regular fall schedule, Tuesday through Saturday.

For now, here’s this week’s soup menu. Come see us. We’re really happy to be back. ❤️

SOUP SEASON STARTS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16! 🥣🥖❤️

We’ve been holding off on making the official announcement because we wanted to make sure everything was truly coming back together in the bakery before we said, “We’re ready.”

And now we can finally say it:

Teton Sourdough Co. is reopening Wednesday, September 16!

We still have a LOT of work happening behind the scenes today, but the good stuff has officially started.

The sourdough dough is being made. 🥖
Cowboy cookies are being mixed.
Brown butter chocolate chip cookies are happening. 🍪
The kitchen is coming back to life.

We had originally planned to reopen last week, but some unexpected building issues took a full week or two out of our prep time. Because of that, we’ll be opening this week with a more limited menu than we normally would.

And we’re okay with that.

We’d rather open thoughtfully, make the food well and give our mostly new team the time they need to learn than try to rush everything at once.

This season brings almost an entirely new staff, with two returning employees helping lead the way. We are so excited about the people we’ve hired. Please give them a little grace as we train and teach this week. There is a lot to learn, but we have a great group and we’re confident they’re going to catch on quickly.

One thing we’ve always loved about Teton Sourdough Co. is that it has never felt overly polished or corporate.

We’re a real family running a real small business.

Sometimes ceilings need fixing. Sometimes timelines change. Sometimes the bakery looks like complete chaos the day before the bread starts coming out of the oven. 😂

But behind all of that is a lot of work, a lot of care and a whole lot of love for the food we make and the people we get to serve.

Wednesday starts our fourth soup season, and we are genuinely so excited to be back.

We’ve missed making bread.
We’ve missed making soup.
We’ve missed feeding people.
And most of all, we’ve missed all of you. ❤️

Wednesday, September 16 is official. We are back!

We’ll be sharing our limited opening menu and hours next.

And in the meantime, here is some of the chaos happening behind the scenes today. 😉

‼️ WE ARE HIRING ‼️

Teton Sourdough Co. is reopening after Labor Day, and we’re looking for a few great people to join our team!

We are a small, fast-paced bakery and lunch shop in Rexburg. Our team works closely together, and everyone jumps in where needed.

We’re looking for people who are:
• Dependable and able to maintain consistent availability
• Hardworking and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Friendly, positive, and great with customers
• Detail-oriented, clean, and organized

We have several shifts available:

• Monday afternoon soup and bakery prep
• Daytime shifts, approximately 7 AM–3 PM, Tuesday–Saturday (can be split)
• Some afternoon/closing shifts

This is a hands-on job, and our team helps with everything from bakery production and food prep to lunch service, customer service, cleaning, dishes, and restocking. Experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person!

Starting pay is $9–$12/hour, depending on experience, availability, and position, plus tip sharing.

🤎 Thursday Update from Teton Sourdough Co.

Today feels a little different. Normally we’d be pulling fresh sourdough from the oven and serving soup for lunch. Instead, this marks our first Thursday with the storefront temporarily closed.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who has stopped by, shared our posts, sent encouraging messages, or supported us over the past few years. Your kindness has meant more than you know.

While our regular storefront is closed, this isn’t goodbye.

🥖 We are working behind the scenes as we prepare Teton Sourdough Co. for its next chapter. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be announcing special bakery drops, preorder pickups, and updates on the future of the bakery.

Be sure to follow us here on Facebook and Instagram so you don’t miss the next sourdough drop.

Thank you for being part of our story. We can’t wait to share what’s coming next. ❤️

Over the past several days, one thing has become abundantly clear:

We feel incredibly blessed to be part of this community.

Since sharing our announcement that we are exploring the future of Teton Sourdough Co., including the possible sale of the business, and suspending our regular lunch service until after Labor Day, we have been humbled by the outpouring of support, encouragement, and love we have received.

We knew our final lunch service before the break would be busy, but we simply did not anticipate the response we received.

In preparation for what we thought would be a busy few days, our family and employees worked hard to make sure the shelves were stocked, the soup kettles were full, and there was enough inventory to serve our customers. What we didn’t anticipate was the incredible response from our community. We have been overwhelmed in the best possible way.

Our children stepped in to help wherever they were needed, and our incredible employees once again went above and beyond.

We have been blessed with an amazing team over the years. We’ve watched employees graduate, leave on missions, return home, get married, begin careers, start families, and navigate both joyful milestones and difficult losses. We have celebrated with them, mourned with them, and cheered them on as they entered new chapters of life. The success of Teton Sourdough Co. has never been the work of one or two people. It has been built by many hardworking hands, and we are deeply grateful for every person who has been part of the journey.

Whether it was your first visit or you’re one of the familiar faces we see several times each week, every conversation, every kind word, every purchase, every message, and every shared memory has touched us more deeply than you know.

When we started Teton Sourdough Co., we hoped to create a place for good soup, great bread, and good food. We often say, “Good soup needs great bread,” but what we’ve learned over the years is that both are best when shared with good people.

We thought we were opening a small shop, but somewhere along the way we found a community.

As we reflect on these past few years, we’re reminded that you didn’t just support our shop, you supported us.

You celebrated milestones with our family. You encouraged us as our oldest son began his military journey. You showed us grace when life required us to close unexpectedly. You were patient through building repairs, illness, family obligations, and the many challenges that come with operating a small family business.

This past year, as Heather navigated the unexpected loss of her father, many of you extended kindness, understanding, and support in ways that will never be forgotten.

Time and time again, when life happened, this community showed up with patience, encouragement, and compassion.

For that, we are deeply grateful.

By Saturday evening, our family and team were simply exhausted and deeply grateful. On Sunday, we set the business aside and spent the day celebrating Greg for Father’s Day. We enjoyed a Father’s Day Sourdough Flight Box, a few leftover pastries and danishes from the shop, and most importantly, time together as a family.

It gave us an opportunity to rest, reflect on the incredible week we had experienced, and begin looking forward to whatever new adventures may lie ahead.

If you’ve been waiting for a response to a message or inquiry, thank you for your patience.

We have also been overwhelmed by the response to our announcement. The number of inquiries, conversations, and messages regarding the possible sale and future of Teton Sourdough Co. has far exceeded anything we expected. We are working through every message and inquiry as quickly as we can and will respond to everyone.

While regular lunch service is paused until after Labor Day, we are still planning occasional product drops and special offerings along the way. We don’t have those details finalized yet, but we’ll share updates as plans come together.

Many of you weren’t just supporting a local business these past few days. You were supporting our family, our employees, and a dream that became far more meaningful than we ever imagined.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lunch breaks, celebrations, conversations, friendships, and traditions.

No matter what the future holds, we will forever be grateful for the friendships, memories, and kindness that have come from this little shop.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

❤️ Heather & Greg
