HAPPY 9TH ANNIVERSARY TO YAE’S EATS & CATERING LLC!!! 🎉👩🏾‍🍳❤️

BABYYYYY… NINE WHOLE YEARS LEGAL! 😂😂😂

Now let me be clear… I’ve been in somebody’s kitchen LONG before that LLC paperwork got filed. 🤣 I had already been cooking, catering, feeding folks and minding everybody’s business through a pot of mac & cheese. 😂

But 9 years ago, I finally said:

“You know what? Let me stop playing and make this thang OFFICIAL!” 😭😂

Filed the paperwork. Made it legal. Took the leap.

And HERE WE ARE 9 YEARS LATER! 🙌🏾🔥

Chileeeee, entrepreneurship has taken me THROUGH IT. 😭

I’ve cooked until my feet hurt.
Driven hours to cater weddings.
Stayed up all night prepping.
Loaded trucks like I work for UPS. 😂
Unloaded them like I work for FedEx.
Cooked for hundreds of people at a time.
Dealt with last-minute changes that almost sent me to JESUS. 😭
And smiled at events like I hadn’t just been fighting for my LIFE in that kitchen 30 minutes earlier. 😂😂😂

I’ve had moments where I said, “I AM DONE!”

Then somebody emailed:

“Hi, are you available for our wedding?”

And there I go…

“Hi! Congratulations! We would absolutely love to be a part of your special day!” 😭🤣🤣🤣

Because apparently I have quit this business about 47 times and HR keeps rejecting my resignation. 😂😂😂

But through ALL of it, I wouldn’t trade this journey.

Every wedding. Every birthday. Every celebration. Every referral. Every review. Every share. Every person who trusted me to feed their family and friends on one of the biggest days of their lives…

THANK YOU. ❤️

Because Yae’s Eats & Catering LLC didn't make it 9 years by accident.

We WORKED.
We LEARNED.

💛 A Long Read... But I Promise It's Worth It. 💛

If you've ever wondered why I spend so much of my time feeding strangers, helping the homeless, organizing community events, or giving away meals and toys... this is why.
Please read until the end. I know it's long, but it's the most personal thing I've ever shared.

People often see Yae's Eats and Catering LLC as an award-winning catering company.
They see the weddings. The beautiful buffet setups. The corporate events. The five-star reviews. The accolades.

What they don't always see... is the reason behind it all.

Years ago, I imagined my life looking very different.

I imagined decorating nurseries. Packing lunches. Helping with homework. Watching little feet run through my house every Christmas morning.

Instead...
I learned what it feels like to say goodbye before I ever got to say hello.

I have experienced six pregnancy losses.

My first baby, Ashaad. My sweet De'Juan. My beautiful Mojàve. My son Draco, who was born on May 19, 2022, and passed away the very same day. And two precious babies I never even knew I was carrying until they were already gone.

Six babies. Six pieces of my heart. Six reasons I choose love, even when life has given me every reason not to.

There were moments I didn't know how I'd ever move forward.

I've deleted baby registries. I've packed away dreams. I've cried over empty arms.

Grief changes you.

But I made a decision...
If I couldn't give my children the life I dreamed of, I could spend my life making sure other children and families feel loved.

So I started pouring everything I had into my community.

I feed the homeless.
I organize donation drives.
I help families who are struggling.
I donate meals when I can.
I mentor aspiring entrepreneurs.
I show up for people I've never even met because I know what it feels like to need hope.

Every plate of food I serve...
Every family I help...
Every child who smiles...
Every Christmas gift handed to a little one...
It all carries a piece of my babies with it.
People ask me all the time why I care so much.
The truth is...
This isn't just charity.
This is motherhood in the only way I know how.
My babies may not be here to open presents on Christmas morning...
But because of them...
Hundreds of other children will.
That is their legacy.
That is their love.

Last year, because of an incredible community, our 1st Annual Christmas Dinner & Toy Giveaway was something I'll never forget.

Every family who came received a hot meal.
Every child received a toy.
No one left empty-handed.
This year...
We're dreaming even bigger.
