My surgery has been scheduled. It’s August 11th and I will be out for 6 - 8 weeks.

Soooo…mark your calendar’s for our next 2 Porch Bakeries!! After those we will pause until November!

June 27th - 9:00 am - Noon! Picnic Theme and Grand Opening of the Free Library!

July 25th - 9:00 am - Noon! Beach Theme!!

The Free Library will be open each week, even during my down time. Days and times TBD!

Our little library is about to get a face lift and a few accessories!

We also received our first book donation this weekend!

Our punch cards have been ordered and will be here by opening day on June 27th!!!

If you want that $5.00 off you Porch Bakery purchase this is the week to drop those donations off! You can leave them on my porch at 648 S Fountain Ave in Republic. Make sure to send me a message if you do drop something off so I can get you the discount!

Who wants $5.00 OFF their Porch Bakery purchase on June 27th????

Here’s HOW!!!

This cute little cabinet below is going to look like a little red school house soon and will be filled with books, puzzles and games for kids from 2 - 12 years old!

My dream is to have a FREE Library for kids to come pick out a book or activity to borrow and return when done. We will have a punch card and if they visit 10 times and return all the items each time they will receive a FREE Smiley Face Sugar Cookie!

My kids are grown now but I remember those summer days and the more free stuff we could find to do was a blessing! Why not earn a cookie while doing it!! We will have coloring pages and activity pages along with the items to borrow.

How you come in! Donate 4 or more books/games/puzzles to the library by June 26th and receive $5.00 off your purchase on the 27th! If you can’t come the 27th then use it on your next order after that! These can be gently used or new (if you find a really good sale let me know!).

I have a lot on hand but I want to make sure every child has a chance to borrow something if they come AND we all know some unfortunately will not be returned so I want a stack to pull from if that happens!

Donations can be dropped on my porch, 648 S Fountain Ave. Leave a note with the donations that has your name on it AND send me a message so I am sure to get your 5.00 off to you!!

A little behind the scenes while I wait for Collin’s flight to come in. He’s had lots of delays today so I’ve filled the time with cookies, family and more cookies.

Why are decorated sugar cookies so much???

Did you know that it can take 3 days to fully complete a set?

1. Make the dough (in bulk).
2. Chill dough for at least an hour.
3. Plan and pick out appropriate theme cookie cutters. Visualize the set!
4. Roll out dough, cut dough and bake dough….repeat.
5. Choose colors, make icing and bag icing.
6. DECORATE - depending on the set this can take 4 - 8 hours!
7. Let set for 24 hours.
8. Package and add labels!

It is a huge process! Never eat a sugar cookie and take for granted that the baker LOVES to bake for you! Why else would they spend HOURS creating something that will disappear as soon as it’s bought ! 😉❤️

HELLO?

Hi!!!!!

I just want to say THANK YOU again for an amazing sell yesterday. We had some cookies left but I had several messages after church that yesterday’s customers needed more and they snagged them up!! I’m so grateful for the support you’ve shown in this very new endeavor! I just might keep it going!

Saturday, June 27th will be out next Porch Bakery!

It will be a Summer Picnic Theme!!

We will also be adding something new for the summer… a FREE LIBRARY for the littles.
Bring your littles and let them pick out a book that they can return and earn a free cookie!!!
In July we will run the Porch Bakery bi-weekly!
