We are honored that C. Davis Texas BBQ chose our small business to spread his generosity.

I could not find this place to save my life, because GPS took me all the way to Maple Valley several times, but today I finally found it. I stopped by to bless this young lady in a few of its customers today at Black Bear Coffee Company in renton. I hear nothing but good things. Keep up the great work.

Meet the owner

This is Shala, she has been behind the coffee bar since 2003 (23 years, for those counting). She opened Black Bear Coffee Company in 2013. Her go-to coffee is an iced white chocolate americano with light cream and extra ice.

Since opening the coffee stand, she has gotten married and has had two children: a daughter that is 6 and a son who will turn 4 in October. She enjoys camping with family and friends or simply relaxing by a bonfire at home.

Meet Elizabeth! She's been slinging beans since way back in 2018, she's been a part of the Black Bear crew for 2 years now!.

She has 3 kids, one is almost a teenager , English is her second language and she likes taking long drives with the kids

Meet your Barista

Hey there! Meet Kaylee! She's been working in the coffee world for six whole years, and five of those have been right here with us at Black Bear!
She's got this super cute orange cat, his name is Carrot Cake! She also studied Elementary Education over at CWU. When she's working, she really loves hanging out with her family and friends, getting lost in a good book, and just chilling by the water.

Meet your Barista

This is Khloe! She's been a barista for almost 5 years now and has been with Black Bear for almost 2 months. Her go-to drink is a Red Bull with watermelon, kiwi, and strawberry, or if she's feeling like a coffee, a white chocolate americano with salted caramel, maple, and lots and lots of ice. Some fun facts about her are that she collects plants and records! She loves hiking and exploring in her free time. But, she can also be a homebody and loves spending time with her dog Scooby and fiancée.

Meet your Barista

Meet Bethany! She's the newest addition to our Black Bear crew and has been with us for a few weeks now. Bethany's a seasoned barista with three years of experience! Her go-to drink is an iced dirty spiced chai with almond milk. She's really into collecting old photos, and get this, she's never managed to keep a plant alive for more than half a year! When she's not working at the stand, you'll find her outdoors – either trekking to old, deserted mining towns or getting a bit too much sun at the beach.
