Hello to our beloved customers,

It’s been a little while since our last update. This week’s cool breeze is a welcome change from last week’s heat. Thank you for supporting our local restaurant and letting us do what we love.

Thai cooking is all about the details from ingredients to each step at the stove. Our Thai chefs grew up with Thai food and carry that love into the kitchen every day. We personally select our produce and make our curry pastes in-house. Those small things we absorbed since childhood shape the care and dedication behind every dish.

Thai cuisine is meticulous; prep, seasoning, timing, and plating before a dish serves your table. So every time we see you enjoy your meal, that’s our greatest joy.

Hello to all our beloved customers 😊
With the recent weather making it hard to muster energy for much. We are especially grateful to everyone who stopped by last week to try our new menu items.
We are excited to introduce our new 👉 ROTI series.
Starting with savory bites like: Appetizer and Entrée.
☘️Yellow Curry with Roti: Toasted roti served with our signature yellow curry (meat-free), rich in flavor and warmth, perfect for dipping.
☘️Kra-Pao Roti: A bold entrée featuring our popular Thai basil stir-fry with your choice of meat, served alongside toasty, golden roti.
And for something sweet:
☘️Roti with Condensed Milk and Sugar, a nostalgic dessert that brings back our childhood memories.
🫶Each piece of roti is pan-fried gently over low heat to create the perfect texture, crisp and golden on the outside, soft and chewy inside. While it’s toasting, the warm, slightly sweet aroma fills the kitchen and is truly hard to resist.
😋Once plated and served, whether as a snack, a hearty meal, or a sweet treat, these dishes have been flying out fast. Your compliments and kind words have made our week!

☀️ Yesterday was unbearably hot, even the vegetables and flowers in Grandma’s garden behind the restaurant looked like they were about to faint. Don’t even get us started on the kitchen, standing over a hot stove making stir-fries and curries felt like cooking inside the sun.

But no matter how hot it gets, we’re always here, cooking with care. Every dish we make, we do it with love to give you that boost of energy and a little happiness with each bite. 🤗

A lot of our regulars already know what they want before they dine-in. Some let us choose for them, and after trying it, they’re hooked, and even add more EXTRA! 🤭

Our seafood dishes are a big hit too. It’s all about the sauce, the heat, the timing, everything has to come together just right to get the flavor and smell. 😋

At the end of the day, we just want you to eat well, smile big, and leave happy. That’s what keeps us going, every single time. 😊

This Is What a Real Summer Feels Like!.

☀️Some days it’s blazing hot, others just plain muggy and lately, the heat has been no joke. On top of that, for the past two weeks, road construction right in front of our restaurant has made things tough for our customers.

🚧 🦺 With only one lane open and heavy machinery truck sometimes blocking the entrance, many of you have had to drive past or park far away and walk over just to pick up your food.

🏗️ This construction is expected to continue for another month (we hope so). We’re truly grateful to everyone who’s checked in on us and still made the effort to come by. Your support means everything.

🍀But even in the middle of all this chaos, there’s still something to smile about. In this intense summer heat, the vegetables which our grandma grows behind the restaurant are thriving, lush, fresh, and full of life. We’ve been lucky to harvest them and use them in our dishes. It’s a small reminder that good things still grow, even in messy times.

🍱 And despite the blocked roads out front, we’ve seen a big uptick in large party tray orders this past week. Many of you are making the most of your summer gatherings, and we’re so happy to be a part of them. Your kind words and feedback keep us going.

(Golden Brown) CRISPY FRIED GARLIC
A small ingredient that makes a big difference.

Its rich umami and unique aroma can transform any dish, at ROYAL ORCHID, we go through a lot of fried garlic. Because to us, great food starts with great ingredients.

Perfecting fried garlic isn’t simple. Getting that golden brown color, crispy texture, and fragrant bite takes patience and precision. Every step matter, the heat level, timing, and even the residual heat after turning off the stove. You can’t take your eyes or hands off the wok. The process is quick, and just a little too much heat can ruin the whole batch burning easily.

Our customers love it so much, they always ask for extra fried garlic on the side.

These little details are what make cooking special. And it all comes down to intention.

🎉 A Month of Celebration 🎉

June is graduation season, high school, college, and everything in between. We’ve had the joy of welcoming many families celebrating this special milestone. Thank you for choosing our restaurant to be part of your important moments.

Construction on the sidewalk in front of our restaurant is still ongoing. We truly appreciate every customer who continues to support us despite the traffic and inconvenience. We’re also grateful for all the catering orders coming in, even before our doors open daily.

And as summer sets in, one common dessert, “mango sticky rice” is in season. It’s become the to-go dessert on almost every order. This time of the year, mangoes are at their sweetest and most fragrant. Paired with soft, aromatic sticky rice and rich coconut milk. We also even can’t resist grabbing a serving ourselves as well!

😘 Happy Father’s Day once again from all of us ❤️

Thank you to all our customers for thinking of us on such a special day. Yesterday, everyone, both in the kitchen and out front put our heart into every order, just like we do every day.

🥰 We were truly happy to see so many sons, daughters, and grandchildren bringing their parents in to enjoy a meal together. Many families placed large take home orders, as well.

The weather’s been hot, but our hearts are full.

This past week has been scorching, and many of our customers told us they didn’t even feel like going outside. Some chose to order food to enjoy at home, while others stopped by the restaurant later in the day, once the sun went down and a cool breeze rolled in.

We truly feel for everyone working outdoors in this heat. And we especially appreciate our incredible kitchen team, who spend hours each day standing over hot stoves. What keeps us going, despite the heat and the challenges, is seeing our customers enjoy the food we prepare with care and heart.

A few days ago, a group of old high school friends came to dine in. They had gone their separate ways after graduation and reunited here at our restaurant. Before leaving, one of them came up to us and said:

“I’ve never liked Thai food. I’ve tried it many times, but it always felt like it lacked real flavor. But today changed my mind. Thank you for making Thai food taste so special. If I ever come back to Washington, I’ll definitely return to your restaurant … and now, I love Thai food.”

That one comment meant the world to us. It reminded us why we do what we do. No matter how hot or how hard the day gets, moments like this are the fuel that keep us growing.

Thank You So Much, for sticking with us through the Construction Chaos.

For months now, the sidewalk construction in front of our restaurant has made things difficult for drivers, for pedestrians, and especially for our customers. We know it takes real effort and intention just to get to us. If you miss the turn by even a little, you’re past it.

The construction has blocked most of our entrance, leaving just enough space for one car at a time when it used to be easy to come and go.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making the trip, for braving the traffic, and for continuing to support ROYAL ORCHID.

We’re also deeply grateful for every catering and office orders, every early morning delivery, every event, and every customer who has trusted us to help feed their teams and celebrations. We are cooking before the restaurant opens and we do it with LOVE because you’ve chosen us.

What means the most is how many of you have spread the word, bringing in friends, coworkers, and turning them into regulars. You’ve helped us grow through birthday parties, office lunches, and weekly orders.

Your support is what keeps ROYAL ORCHID TEAM continuing and growing. It gives us the energy and motivation to keep pushing ourselves, to keep improving, and to make food that’s worth your effort to come dine-in, pick up or order.

This past week brought such a pleasant weather, cool breezes and gentle morning sunlight which is my favorite moment.

Many of our customers picked up to-go orders to enjoy at the park, or spent the weekend with family here at Royal Orchid. Some brought their parents for a nice meal, others came with their little ones, and a few even celebrated birthdays here with us.
We’re truly grateful that our place has become part of your family moments.

It brings us joy to hear laughter, friendly conversations, and see coworkers reunite after a long time apart. Many great moments happen again and again to bright up our place to be lively.

Seeing you return for your favorite dishes or trying out something new from our menu means the world to us.

And of course, to make your weekend moments here even sweeter, we’ve been serving a little after-meal treat, CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE, the one that so good which our kids selected for every table. It’s a small gesture, but one that comes from the heart.

We just want everyone who visits us to leave not only full, but feeling good, warm, recharged, and appreciated.

The weather is starting to warm up, and with summer break just around the corner for many schools. Most Families are beginning to plan their trips and outdoor adventures. It’s such a joyful time, full of anticipation and the promise of sunshine and fun.

Meanwhile, we have been busy creating new summer menu items that bring a refreshing and comforting feeling to every bite. Dishes that perfect for cooling off on those warmer days.

Looking back at last long weekend’s orders (Memorial’s Day), the dishes customers chose were truly mouthwatering. Our fresh fish dishes stood out beautifully, and the classic Thai-style SOM-TUM (Papaya Salad) kept everyone coming back for more.

It’s been wonderful to see these favorites enjoyed all day long, whether dining in or grabbing a quick takeout.

From all of us in the kitchen and front of house, we want to sincerely thank every one of our customers from the bottom of our hearts.

To Me, Thai Food Is Both Art and Music.

It is like an intricate blend many elements, starting with the ingredients and unfolding through every step of the cooking process. Choosing the right part, root, leaf, or fruit, also the right cut of meat is not random. It’s intentional, each with its own reason, all are matters.

Every dish has its own method and flow. When to add what. How long to cook, the soft stir, the patient wait. Whether to use a gentle flame or high heat. Whether to layer in flavor slowly, or to let it bloom after cooking. Some dishes need to be marinated a day in advance. Some dishes have to be made fresh, right in the moment. Some need herbs tossed in only after the flame is off. Or some dishes start with herbs from the very first flicker of heat.

Each dish has its own rhythm, just like a song in a different key. And when everything comes together at the right moment, the result is something rich and nuanced. A complete sensory experience. Like a painting with many colors, each one distinct, but together they create something meaningful deliver deep and complex flavor.

Every dish tells a different story. Every flavor evokes a different feeling.

Thai food is full of charm, rhythm, and complexity. It carries layers of taste, from the first bite to the lingering notes that cling to the cheeks.

The kind of flavors that stay with you and make to remember and crave for.

Many of our dishes come from memories from childhood, from the ages and stages of life through, and carry those memories in the way we cook, one dish at a time.

For us cooking at its best, is about bringing comfort. Making something that holds warmth and giving a little piece of yourself, become more than a meal and become a memory.

These are the true charm of Thai food, like art, like music, full of rhythm and soul. 🎶 🎨 🥰❤️

Whether you grab your meal to go or dine in, we’re truly grateful for your support. Especially during those busy lunch and dinner rushes.
Thank you for your patience while we prepare each dish. We cook everything with care, and some dishes take a little extra time as they are made with the kind of love and flavor you’d find in a home kitchen.
We put our hearts into every plate, hoping it brings you the same warmth and comfort as a good meal shared with family.
And we have to say, some of your combo orders look so good! Like Garlic Chicken Wings, Papaya Salad, and Yum Seafood … no wonder they’re your weekend repeated to-go.
