For the sake of not having to answer so many questions we have decided to make it public that we have our building up for sale. As of right now we do not have any potential buyers, but we have our fingers crossed someone will come along. One of the main reasons is because of the activity of the real estate market right now.

We will be open today and tomorrow this week, then closed July 3-12, will reopen July 13th. We will finish out July, and our last day being open is July 31st.
We are not doing this because we have to, we are doing it because we want to. We really make out just fine here, but we just don't feel the same. We feel burnt out, we feel kind of stuck knowing that it's almost impossible to find decent help that will stick around, we just feel like we are ready for our next adventure. No amount of time away seems to change that feeling. Maybe one where Farrel and I aren't in eachother's faces 24/7. That has been something that has definitely been a challenge. Just us, all of the time, from open to close, cooking, waiting, delivering, answering phone calls, and all of the cleaning, prepping, and supplying in between.
It has been a helluva ride these past five years. We are extremely proud of ourselves for the business that we have built from literal scratch. The customer base we built up, the amount of people we have gotten to know, and who have relied on us for their breakfast, coffee, lunch, ice cream, gatherings, parties, catering and more. Our kids have gone through a good part of their lives here and we are humbled that you all have allowed us to share our family life with you, and that youve done the same with us.
Whatever this crazy world has been doing for the past year and a half has definitely put a damper on our spirits. Not only getting through all of the crazy that was thrown at us, that we beat, but now trying to get product has become a challenge. Fryer oil, chicken, hashbrown patties are our latest flops, but it seems to vary every week.
We vowed after leaving our high demand management jobs we would never stay anyplace again that didn't make us feel fulfilled. So now we will give something else a go. We don't know what's next. Another business? A regular job? Who knows, but we aren't worried, and we know because we put our hearts into everything we do all will work out well. In the immediate future we will take August with the kids, and start something new come September.
Who knows, if the building doesn't sell and people want to work again maybe we will start back up in September. We truly don't know yet. We are going to take a breather and figure it out.
The days when we could do all sorts of pastries and homemade baked goods, soups, stews, goulash, pump out dinner specials were so fun and rewarding!
So, that's our story right now. We aren't sad, we are grateful we are able to make these decisions without our backs up against the wall and feeling anxious.
We thank everyone from the beginning until now for all of their support, generosity, word of mouth and so much more.
We will be here til about 230 today and regular hours tomorrow if you want to stop in!
Lots of love,
The Salsburys
